The Shyland Love Story

Chapter 2: First Day

Shane's POV
I was bored and I was feeling lonely, I've been single for awhile now and I wanted to find someone nice this time. I click on bumble and well, the first person I saw was Ryland, RYLAND!!! I thought, as soon as I said that I texted him.

We make a date on when we should see each other in real life, I was so happy to get his message,

Ryland - So, 6pm? I know it's late but I don't have work and I'm free at that time.
Shane - Thats great!

I turn off my phone and walk to the table and get the TV controller and turn on some shows, I sit there just wondering how the 'date' would go,

What if he doesn't like me?

Is he even gay, or bi?

Does he even know it's a date?

Well maybe, I made it kinda clear?

What if he sees me and gets to know me than realizes I'm not right for him?

The thoughts tremble in my head as the clock hits 12:00. "Shit..." I mumble under my breathe, if I wanted to look nice for Ryland I should at least get some sleep. The least I could do is look nice just in case. I get ready for bed, I sit on my bed but I couldn't close my eyes, I start thinking again, but this time it was good thoughts. After a few minutes laying down with my thoughts, I fall asleep. I cant wait to see Ryland's beautiful face again.

Ryland's POV:

I wake up earlier than normal, I was so happy I was going on a 'date' with Shane, SHANE FREAKEN DAWSON! I don't really know if it was a date, but from what Shane said, I could kinda tell it was. I pick up my phone to find multiple text from Lily,

Lily - RYLAND! RYLAND! RYLAND!
Lily - RYLAND ADAMS I NEED ANSWERS NOWWW!!!!
Lily - Mister Adams common!!!!!!!!
Lily - I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU AND SHANE!

I look at my phone in shock, why did she know, HOW DID SHE KNOW?!? All I could think about was that Shane was happy and texted Lily in excitement, that thought made me smile widely as I texted her back,

Ryland - Lily, calm down! Me and Shane are just going on a date, nothing much yet. But how did you know about us?

Lily - Awh :(
Lily - Oh and Shane texted me about you two and seemed really happy! I can't wait till the ship Shyland was true and Shily was dead! Even tho Shily wasn't to bad...

Ryland - Shyland isn't alive... yet. And Shily was nice as it lasted!

Lily - yeah, well anyways Mister Adams I got to go! See you on Monday!

Ryland - See ya Lil's

After that, I was left alone with my thoughts. I was happy, but still had my questions.

*a few hours later*

I decided to go do some things at Clevver since I got bored.
"OMG! OMG! OMG! RYLAND YOUR GOING TO MET SHANE AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME ON A DATE!!!" Joslyn yelled.

"Shhhhhh Joslyn! Not everybody knows yet!" I said, she slightly raised one of her eyebrows,

"Wait, you haven't told them your gay? Or wait... about Shane?" Joslyn said slightly whispering. I stood there in silence, she looked away from me, I could tell she regretted saying anything,

"Well, I don't know but I know they do know I'm gay. But I don't really know for sure... and it's okay for asking me, I was just caught off guard," I said, she nodded and walked off. As we talked I didn't notice my phone went off about a couple minutes ago by a text from Shane, I open my phone and smile.

Shane - Hey Ryland! I just got up, I know I wake up late but I need beauty sleep lol.

Ryland - hey Shane, good morning, sorry I didn't text you when I got up.

Almost amediately I get a text back,

Shane - It's fine. I cant wait to see you, I've got to make a few videos, see ya soon Ryland!

I smiled, texting him back as I shut off me phone, all I could do is think about how the date would go... and how it could turn around at any moment.
