Chapter 3:First Date

Ryland's POV

It's the next morning, 6:30 am when I woke up really fast. That same night I had a dream about Shane, a really nice one, but now that I'm up, I've realized something.

"Shit," I mumbled under my breathe, I had realized that neither me, nor Shane new where we were going, nor know when. My only thought was to text him, but I don't think he'd be up.

"Fuck it," I said happily.

Shane's POV

I was fast asleep when I heard a little ring come from my phone.

-buzz buzz-

Ryland - Hey Shane, I know it's really early and I'm sorry if I woke you up but I don't think we thought out our date that well.

I read the text, realizing he called it a date, A DATE! I questioned that for a while but now I know, but I had to answer and stop thinking about that,

Shane - Oh oops, ahaha! That never came to me mind, well how does 6 pm sound? We could get some food than maybe some back to my house?

Seconds later Ryland replied,

Ryland - Great! See ya at 6!

He seemed so happy, but as I was beginning to have an even bigger smile plastered on my face, I realized that I had 13 hours to clean the house up, get myself together and maybe make food, that thought destroyed me. I began to clean and get ready.

*12 1/2 hours later*

(Ryland's POV)

It was a few minutes before it was time to go on a date with Shane. I was so exited that I got everything done in an hour which, I don't know why I cleaned my apartment. The clock clicked as I awaited for Shane's arrival. Until I head a ring at me door,

"Hey, R-Ryland," Shane said slightly stuttering as he began to turn a light shade of pink,

"Hey Shane," I replied back and smiled, his smile could light up the world, and everything around it, which it did, and very much, made me blush right back at him.

We got in the car, Shane drove to this nice restaurant, as we pulled up into its drive-way, Shane looked at me and said.

"Ryland, this might seem weird since we just started the date but.... um I- uh, never mind... let's go in," Shane struggled to tell me something, I wanted to ask what he was trying to say but I didn't say it in time, Shane opened my door and we walked in.

We sat down and ordered our food, Shane just sat there looking down at the table, I saw he shifted his eyes to look at my hands, I could tell he wanted to say something but, never did.

"Shane, is there something you want to talk about? I asked in slight concern, you could tell in my voice,

"No, thanks for wondering it's just, I don't know... there's something I want to tell you but can't," Shane said, his smile wasn't there, it made me sad, was our date not going well, did I do something wrong? I could tell Shane wanted to hold my hand, by the way he looked at it at times. I move my hands from where they laid to connect with Shane's, he looked up at me, I smiled as he blushes with bright red all over his face.

"Ryland, I-I like," Shane mumbled as I cut him off,

"I like you too Shane, a lot," I said loudly and proud, it caught Shane off gourd as he smiled really big, I smiled back. I looked at his eyes, admiring the beauty within, the way his eyes glisten in the slight sun coming from the window, the beautiful blue-green amazingness shine. I could stare at them all day, but sadly the food came and we eat while talked.

Shane's POV

The lunch/dinner was great, Ryland held me hand and said he liked me, a lot. We finished our food, it was 7 now, realizing how long we talked and how long it took us to eat. We got in the car and talked even more, I drove to me house which wasn't that far away, I had planned to watch a scary movie, hoping he would get scared and move closer to me.

"So, since we eat now what should we do?" I ask Ryland, he shrugged as he looked at me,

"Well, since you done knnooww, we could watch a... scary movie?" I asked with a smile on my face, I could tell he was a little scared, but I smiled even bigger than he agreed,

"I don't really like scary movies, buttttt... as long as it's not TOO scary," he said, I nodded and walked his to the couch,

"How about... Get Out?" I asked he looked at me with fear in his eyes, he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off by playing the movie. The first part he didn't get scared, a little after he jumped, screaming so loud it could kill someone's ear drums, but not me, I was use to it since my ex girlfriend Lisa did the same, right after he screamed he jumped yet again, but this time pushing himself onto me which soon he moved away, I looked at him and he was bright red, I could tell what he did wasn't the best choice he had made today since the hand holding. He looked away from the TV, I slightly frown,

"Hey, you okay?" I ask him, he looks at me and smiles,

"Yeah, yeah it's just, I'm sorry for jumping into you like that, it's not like me to-," I cut him off as I lean towards him, I get closer and closer, I close my eyes, sooner or later our lips touch, I could feel him kiss back, it felt like forever when we finally pushed away, I wasn't complaining though.

Ryland's POV

He kissed me, what happens now? The night was ending and I wanted to be close to Shane so the only was was to get scared. Luckily there just so happened to be a jump scare, I scream as loud as I can, jumping up into Shane's chest and hug him tight, being this close to him made me realize I never wanted to be anywhere else, only in the arms of him. Shortly after I had closed my eyes, Shane thought I was asleep when he said,

"Ryland, I really like you," he mumbled, he thought I couldn't hear him,

"I really like you too Shane," I smiled and blushed, holding him tighter as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
