Chapter 8: Peace and Quiet

Everyone's asleep

*Shane's POV*
I wake up to the sound of my phone, I hoped and prayed that it wasn't Gabbie, and I'm happy it wasn't, but not to happy about the text message.

Tana (Mongeau) - What the fuck Shane? Gabbie kissed you? You have a boyfriend! Why did you let her do this?! When your fully up call me. We need to talk.

Shane - I know. I didn't let her she forced herself on me. I just woke up and I'll call you right now but how do you know about this?

Tana - Gabbie told me, she came to my house and nocked on the door and told me everything than she stared to cry, I felt bad for her but she shouldn't have did and said what she did. And I need to talk to you as soon as it's possible. It's a big deal Shane, bigger than you think.

Shane - Wtf? Tana? What does 'it's a big deal Shane, bigger than you think" mean!?

Tana - It means get your ass up and leave Ryland asleep and call me this instant.

Shane - Okay, okay... mom.

Tana - Thank you very much sweetie.

I was worried, what does that mean? What could it mean? I had to leave my thoughts behind, Tana had something to tell me and it was very important. I shimmy my way out of Ryland's hands and make sure he isn't awake, I whisper 'I love you' to him, loud enough for him to hear, but soft enough so he wouldn't wake up. I go downstairs and sit on the couch, I let Uno out, and click the call bottom and put the phone up to my ear, not knowing that was a bad choice,

*on the phone with Tana Mongeau*

Tana - "SHANE IT TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH!"

Shane - "Okay Jeez, what happened that your so urgent to tell me about,"

Tana - "Sorry I'm a little shook up, well so, the day you and Gabbie had a little, 'talk', Gabbie wanted to remember the 'good' moment by recording it, so she showed me the video and it was of her kissing you and saying that stuff about Ryland and that you "deserve better" and that dumb shit, once the video was over she looked at me and said, "See what I'm talking about, Ryland is making him not show his real feelings for me" and I looked at her, yanked the video out of her hand and sent it so me, than deleted it off my phone, therefor I have the video!"

Shane - "And that good how? If Ryland finds out I'm still fucked"

Tana - "That's the point! Shane your not getting it! You can show Ryland the video and tell him what happened and he'll forgive you, no fight, done!"

Shane - "Tana it's not that easy! He'll still get mad that I didn't pull her away!"

Tana - "I know, but why didn't you pull away?"

Shane - "She was too strong, and I was already tired."

Tana - "Okay whatever."

Shane - "Why did Gabbie do all this though?"

Tana - "She said she was 'drunk' and just texted you, she said she meant every word though."

Before I get to talk again I hear footsteps from upstairs, I quickly tell Tana Ryland was coming and hung up, she was going to send me the video so I could tell Ryland, my heart beat 1M times faster than before.

"Who we're you on the phone with Shane?" Ryland asked as he lifted one eyebrow and slightly looked annoyed,

"Oh it was Tana, she was talking to me about some YouTube ideas and asked if she could use one of my ideas for her video, that's all," I say walking towards him, he wasn't too happy I've been talking to so many girls lately but he trusted Tana and I since she was only 18 and we were like her fathers. Ryland gently nodded and headed to the kitchen to make us some cereal. We go to our table and Ryland looks at me concerned.

"Shane. I have a feeling your not to happy with me anymore. I get that and if you wanna take a break it's fine," He said,

"Even if it kills me," he mumbled under his breathe thinking I couldn't hear him, I just stair at him, until I have the guts to say,

"I'm not happy. I'm not happy your mad at me for talking to girls, I'm not happy you hardly spend time with me anymore, I'm not happy you spend all your time at Clevver, oh and I'm not happy you kissed Joslyn. I'm not happy because I don't get to be with you." I say, not even realizing I was tearing up until I felt one tear on my hand, followed by a couple more tears. I close my eye and just cry, not even caring about my surroundings,

"Shane Lee Dawson, I love you and only you, I'm sorry about kissing Jos, it didn't mean shit, she's my best friend, it's not like you haven't kiss your best friend either, I'm not one to blame since you kiss Gabbie," he said frustrated,

"WHAT?! I-It didn't mean anything! Ryland I love you!" I say, he looks at me weirdly and opens his mouth to talk,

"I meant the one you did on camera. What we're you talking about?!?" He says, he looks at me with a little frustration in his eyes, I could tell he knew about the kiss, but I'm just not ready to tell him. One day I will, but not today,

"I meant that too... Ryland I'm sorry, this weekend I'm going to spend all the time in the world with you, your my number one priority." I say as I put my hand on his face, he looked at me and smiled, he pushed my hands aside and his face came closer to me, soon after our lips connected, it was,

Perfect!

But I knew, if I told Ryland now, he wouldn't trust me, he'd leave me, and all I wanted now, was him, I couldn't do it, just not yet.
