The Lake

Johnny POV.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Wow. It's so big." I said as I walked into my new cabin. The room was really spacious. There were two bathrooms, both a fair size on each side of the room. There were two wooden bunk beds by each bathroom. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and memories from previous people from camp.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀This was my first time at a summer camp, and so far it was going great. "Yea they're holding up a pretty good foundation." Annie said dropping her bags on one of the bunks. "Hey! Why do you get top bunk?! You got it last year!" Hayden questioned. "What do you mean, it's tradition!" She replied laughing a little. "Yea, Hayden. Girls this year get the top bunk." Mackenzie added in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Watching them all joke around with each other, you could tell they all had chemistry. "Well not if I have anything to say about it." Hayden said dropping his bags. He speed walked towards Annie and grabbed her by her waist. He slung her over her back and she shrieked in surprise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Hayden! Put me down!" She yelled laughing. "Not until you let me have the top bunk!" He yelled back. He threw her on the bottom bunk and started tickling her like crazy. I looked over at Kenzie and she just stood there laughing. "HAYDEN! OKAY FINE! FINE I SURRENDER!" She yelled not being able to control laughing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Come on Johnny, were taking the top bunks." Hayden said casually letting go. "God damn why are you so annoying?" Annie said fixing her hair. "You know you love me for it." I looked over at Annie and she was so flushed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I tilted slightly towards Kenzie and whispered, "Are they like a thing or something?" She turned her head towards me and made a shocking face. "Annie and Hayden? Together? No." She whispered back. I wonder what made her reaction so surprising with just the thought of them as a pair.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Anyways, guys I wanna show Johnny around camp. So hurry up and put you're bags up." She said. It gave me a comforting thought that she actually cared. "Uh, I would love to come but I'm really tired. I think I'm just gonna take a nap." Hayden said rubbing his eyes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Okay what about you Annie?" Kenzie turned her head toward her and asked. "I actually have a lot of unpacking to do, so I'm gonna stay back." Annie said. I saw her quickly wink from the corner of my eye, and looked over at her bags. She only had one suitcase. How was that 'alot of unpacking?'⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Okay... I guess it's just me and you Johnny." Kenzie said turning back around to me. "I guess so." I replied. "Where do you wanna go first?" She asked. "Well, I saw this really pretty lake on the way here." I replied, but something went weird when I said that. Everyone started to stare at Hayden for some reason. "Is there something wrong with that?" I asked in confusion. "Uh, no. You wanna go to lake, we'll go to the lake." She said still not making eye contact with me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀We walked around camp, until we finally reached the Lake. It was breathtaking. It had a beautiful garden around it, with lights strung all around place. The water was so blue, it made you wanna dive into it immediately.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Okay, so this is the lake." Kenzie said gesturing her hands towards it. "It's beautiful." I said with my mouth a little hung open. She started laughing at the sight of me looking like a idiot. "What's so funny?" I asked. "You should see you're reaction." She said holding onto her stomach, from laughing so hard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Funny." I said sarcastically. I looked behind her and saw a long brown bridge that led to the lake. Then suddenly I had the most brilliant idea. "Is the lake safe to swim in?" I asked pointing towards the bridge. "Oh, yea of course. Me, Hayden and Annie always come here every year." She replied. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I started walking towards bridge, hoping Kenzie would follow. I bent down and started pointing at the water. "Oh my god Kenzie! Come look at this!" I yelled keeping my eyes ok the lake. I heard her footsteps follow up behind me. She bent down and said, "I don't see anything." "It's right there, how can you not see it?!" I asked. She put her face a little lower to the water and tried searching for something.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀That's when I immediately got up and pushed my hands on her back, making her fall into the water. I started laughing so hard, when I didn't even realize she was yelling. "JOHNNY, I – I CANT SWIM!" Her hands were flapping everywhere in the water. Oh shit, it felt like my heart skipped a beat watching her struggle. My immediate instinct was to go save her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀So I quickly took my shirt off and jumped into the water. I felt a large pressure of the water smack onto my face, when I spotted Kenzie. She was totally fine. In fact she was swimming perfectly.  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I swam near her and heard her laughing so hard. "That wasn't funny! I thought you were drowning!" I yelled through her constant giggles. "Are you kidding me?! That was hilarious! You should've seen the look on your face." She replied swimming towards me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀At this point, our bodies were inches apart. I could feel her heavy breathing on me, and saw the little droplets on her hair. "That's not fair, you don't get to have the last laugh!" I said acting a little immature. "Okay, then. I'll do you a favor." She said intertwining her fingers with mine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"And what is that?" I asked in a flirty tone. My eyes trailed off to her lips and she pulled my body closer to hers. She leaned into my ear and whispered, "Meet me by the garden tonight at nine o'clock." "Why?" I questioned. "You'll just have to wait and see." She replied. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀She swam back to the bridge and  squeezed the water to hair out. She then slid her shirt off leaving her only in shorts and the top of her bathing suite. I felt my jaw fall a little with the sight of her body. It was perfect. She was thick in just the right places, and looked stunning with the sun reflecting on her skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀She squeezed the water out of her shirt and slowly put it back on. She turned around and gave me flirtatious look. "Bye Johnny." She said as she ran out of the garden.
