Comforting Feelings

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I felt so betrayed. I put myself in Annie's place, and there is a lot of reasons for her to be mad at me. The only thing that really stuck on my mind, was the fact that Hayden was there that night too. I wasn't the only one at the bridge. I wasn't the only one who hurt her. Yet I was the one she was taking all her anger on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀My feelings were at the state where, I didn't really want to talk to anyone at the moment. I just wanted some time to think about how crazy this summer has already been.  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I sat on the edge of the bridge and swayed my feet in the water. Looking at my reflection shimmering against the water, it made me feel almost calm. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I heard gentle footsteps approach me, but I don't even bother to look. "Kenzie?" I heard a soft voice say. I knew immediately that it belonged to Johnny's. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He slid down next to me and intertwined his finger with mine. "Are you okay?" He asked softly. "No. I'm not." I whispered back. "Why are you and Annie arguing?" He asked taking the strand of my hair and sliding it behind my ear. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀My thoughts and actions suddenly froze. After all that happened it slipped out of mind about Johnny. How was I supposed to tell him that I kissed someone the night he never showed up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I rather not talk about it." I lied keeping my eyes on the water. "Are you sure?" He questioned. My heart filled with warmth at the thought that someone actually cared for me. "Yea. I just wanna get my mind off things." I replied looking up at him with a smile. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I think I have a few ideas." He smirked. "Oh yea? And what's that?" I questioned with a light laugh. He gave me a devilish smile and connected his lips to mine. I felt the intensity send vibrations through my body as I run my finger through his soft hair. I could feel him smiling through our perfect moment which made me even happier. Wow I didn't know someone could make me feel the way he makes me feel.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Well that's one way to get things off my mind." I giggled while letting go. "Oh princess, I have way more." He laughed with a smirk hung across his face.  "Johnny!" I playfully slapped his shoulder. "Chill I'm joking." He said joining into the laughter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Hey, do you wanna go canoeing?" I suddenly said. "Do you want to go canoeing?" He asked. "Yea, I haven't went in such a long time." I replied. "Then I would love to go canoeing." He said  grabbing my hand and getting up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Me and Johnny approached the dock with smiles hung across our faces. "Okay, so there will be several groups for each boat. There will be four people per group! Everyone get you're clusters and make sure to put you're safety jackets on!" One of the instructors explained. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Me and Johnny did as they said  and sat on one of the stable boats. "You ready for this?" I asked grabbing one of the paddles. "Sure, but you have to do most of the work princess because I've never done this before." Johnny replied.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Awe I can't wait to see how horrible you'll be at this!" I remarked. "Shut up princess." He said running his fingers through his hair. I felt my cheeks turn warm at the sound of him calling me princess. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Sorry to interrupt y'all, but you're the only boat left with two people, so can we join?" Hayden asked. I peaked my head over to see Annie behind him.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
