I didn't even think twice to look at Hayden. I quickly took all the energy I possibly had started running after her. "Annie!" I yelled in guilt as I started running towards the dark trees. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I saw a glimpse of her bright blue shirt in front of me, but the color faded away after she crossed a huge tree. "ANNIE, PLEASE WAIT!" I yelled again. Damn that girl was fast. I felt the side of my hip start to crawl up with pain. My breathing was unsteady and throat felt so dried with all the air running through my mouth.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Annie I know you're here! Just please listen to me!" I yelled again. I ran past every tree she came across. Each scene went by a flash through my dried eyes. My feet felt soar, and heavy with each step I took. I couldn't run anymore. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I stopped in the middle of the woods and brought my arms to my knees and bent my back. I coughed out all the cold air coming from my mouth, and felt a swarm of guilt crawl up my mind. I was such a horrible friend. How could I have done this. Just because Johnny never wanted me, doesn't mean I had to go after my bestfriend's crush. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
