Ella's POV
"Got everything mom", I asked meeting her at the front door
"I believe so", she said looking at her suitcases
Just then, the taxi pulled up
"Bye mom", I said as I loaded her bags in the car
"Be polite. No making out with guys, in fact no guys or parties", she said
"I know. I know"
"No drinking or smoking
I opened my mouth ready to defend myself
"I've seen the smokes in your room and the alcohol is always low"
I rolled my eyes
"Don't be afraid to clean around the house, and make your bed everyday"
"Mom, I got this. It will be fine", I said as she kissed my forehead
"Do you have your clothes packed", she asked
"Yes, and I have the key to the house if I need more"
"Bye El", she said as we hugged
She got in the taxi and drove away.
I went back in the house and pack the last of my bag and locked the house. I walked up to the Matthews front porch and rung the doorbell. Within seconds Gina opened the door with a huge smile on her face.
"You look just like your mother back in high school", she smiled
"Thanks", I asked
"Henry, Ella's here. Come down", she yelled as he came down the stairs shirtless.
For some nerd, he has a nice abs. Oh wait, he was a baseball player.
"Hey Ella", he waved shyly
"Hey Henry", I said snapping out of my trance
"Show her the room. I have to make supper. What do you like Ella", she asked
"Anything really", I smiled
"Ok", she grinned and went to the kitchen
We went up a flight of steps and he showed me the room which was the first one to the left. My room is across from yours and my mom's is right there", he pointed to the room next to mine
"You get your own bathroom", he mumbled
"Still shy around me huh", I smiled
He rolled his eyes and went to his room and shut the door
This is a nice room. The floor is hardwood and the walls are a eggnog color. The bed is a queen with red sheets. The bathroom has white tile and the same eggnog colored wall. It had a bath/shower and the sink was a grey granite. I could get used to this
