Ella's POV
First night sleeping in the guest bed, it was too cold and I barely got any sleep.
"How are you", Gina said as I came down the stairs
"Tired", I said
"Going to school", she asked as I plated my breakfast
"I think so"
"Good. Education is the best thing"
"Oh don't I know it", I said sarcastically
"Good morning sweat heart", she said
God damn it anyhow
"Morning mom. Ella", Henry said briefly
"Morning", I mumbled
"Something wrong", Gina said
"No, why", I asked
"Well you guys aren't verbally abusing each other", she laughed
"We're fine", Henry reassured her, looking me in the eyes, almost as to reassure me
I look down
"You're going to be late, HURRY", she said scaring me with the volume of her tone
We grabbed our bags and ran outside to car
"I'm driving", he stated
"Whatever", I said rolling my eyes
"So are we gonna talk about last night", I asked
"What about it"
"I don't know, how you said you could help me. Then locked your room", I said like it was so obvious
"Sorry, I needed to be alone"
"You OK", I ask
"Yeah, I got over it"
"Does it ever get better", I ask
"Yeah. Over time. And I promise I'll be there for you around him"
I just laugh "Thanks"
"Anytime. But hey, I can't promise I won't punch him"
I laugh again and couldn't stop
"What if he told everyone"
"Then he would be admitting to a crime and he could go to jail"
"Oh, so no", I ask
"No is right"
We finally pulled into the school parking lot. As I got out everyone stared at us
"OMG, you noticed my muscle. Aren't they so big", he said flexing and everyone turned back around
"Thanks", I said
"Anytime"
We walked into the school and all eyes turned to me.
"No, she did not get plastic surgery. Yes, she always looked this good, no piss off", Danielle said walking in front of me
All the girls roll their eyes and turn back around
"Don't worry. We got your back", she smiled as we linked arms and walked away
