Ella's POV
I woke up on Henry's chest which was like a pillow. His mom's shoes were by the door and I could smell bacon. I was not gonna go in there by myself. I looked up at Henry's peaceful face and slowly got up and jumper-cabled him.
He jolted awake and sprang up and looked at me
"Fuck, Ella", he yelled
"Maybe later, but I'm hungry and I don't want to go alone"
"My mom isn't going to bite you", he sighed
"You never know", I fired back
"I thought you were the badass"
"I am", I state proudly
"Thought being a badass means you can't be afraid of nothing"
"Everyone has a weakness"
I started to walk towards the kitchen
"Hey, Ella", he asked
"Yes", I said and turned around
"How did you get your title. I mean you seem like an ordinary girl", he asked
"Well. My dad was loaded and helped the school a lot before he ran. I was originally a bitch to people and I still scare people. And I end up in detention a lot sometimes. I'm not afraid of being late. I sass the teachers sometimes. And I make out with a lot of guys. I just got assigned I guess", I shrugged
"Oh"
"Anyway, I'm hungry so let's go", I said and tugged on his arm
He rolled his eyes and followed me
"Good morning you two. I saw you on the couch last night and decided to leave you alone", she smiled
"Oh", I said
"I just turned the tv off", she said again flipping the bacon
"Is that bacon", Henry asked
"No, it's waffles", she said sarcastically
"Funny", he said
"I know", she smiled
"Here we go", she said and handed us our bacon and eggs
As we ate our food, she smiled "You still have school today"
"Crap", we say looking at the clock. 7:30
We finished our food and ran upstairs
I got in the shower and by the water pressure, Henry did too. I hurried through not shaving my legs. I jumped out and wrapped my body in the towel, brushing my teeth. I put another towel in my hair and went to the closet where I had put my clothes.
I got out some thin, black leggings towards the bottom to hide the unshaven legs and a simple white V-neck with white converse and a light blue beanie. I skipped the make up and ran downstairs where Henry was waiting. He had a blue and grey shirt on with the American Eagle logo across the chest and some kaki shorts, with black converse
"Come on wet hair"
"It will dry on the way to school", I roll my eyes
"Bye mom", he says
"Bye you two"
"I'm driving cupcake"
"OK nerd", I roll my eyes as we grab our bags
