"Amelia!Wait up!" I said running behind my 7year old cusion.My aunt and cusion decided to visit me and my mom at my uncle's since we were in L.A. for 2months vacation.Today we decided to go to the beach since it was sunny outside.I chased my little cusion along the shore,eventually catching her and lifting her up.She giggled,"You silly little bugs.Come on lets take a picture." I pulled my phone out of my shorts and took a selfie of us and then a picture of the beach view which was breath taking.I was resting Amelia on her feet when I felt something hit the back of me.I turned around removing my brown wavy hair from my face and looked to see what it was.On the ground was a soccer ball.No wonder it was hard."You okay Meggy?"
"Yeah bugs I am good.Let me just dust off the sand and-" I was cut off by a male voice that sounded awefully familiar."Hey I am really sorry are you okay?"
"Yeah I am-" as I turned around to meet the person I was shock.Standing before me was the one and only Shawn Mendes.Holy crap!I was losing it until I felt Amelia by my foot.I quickly snapped out of it.I giggled looking at the ground."Yeah its okay.I am fine really."
"Are you sure honey?I mean it was a football...and your back is a little reddish" I smiled holding Amelia hand."Yeah I am fine Shawn.Its a little hit.The colour will go away.Thanks for asking though."Shawn wore a navy blue swimming trunk with his glasses.Gosh!The abs had me lost for words.I was a mess in my head."Okay well I mean my friends kind of made me come over here to apologise for them..."
"Why?Are they scared?" I laughed.
"No they actually were intimidated because you are a pretty and probably had a boyfriend," Shawn said looking at the ball blushing."Well tell them there is no need to be afraid.There isnt a boyfriend.Never had been and thanks for that compliment." Shawn looked up with a smile."Well in that case how about I treat you to ice cream as an apology....."
"Megan.My name is Megan and you really dont have to Shawn."
"I insist.Please!First time I am being turned down by a girl.Wow.Bet it will make a good song." I laughed.
"Fine ice cream sounds good I just need to tell my mom and return Amelia."
"But I want ice cream too Meggy," Amelia whined.Shawn laughed."Dont worry I will make sure she brings for you,hun.Whats your name?"Amelia looks up smiling."Amelia and do you promise?" Amelia said sticking her pinky out making me laugh."Promise." Shawn said pinky swearing.Oh My God I had to be bloody dreaming."Well I need to droo this one off so.."
"Let me walk you.I need a break from the guys anyways." I watch Shawn run back to a group of boys and threw the ball and got some high fives and wows before running back."The guys seem excited."
"Yeah well I mean there like kids so." I laughed.
"Megan pick me up again!" Amelia whined."Bugs I am tired.I am sorry.Later okay?"
"Hun you want me to take you up?" Shawn offered.Amelia nodded happily and lifted her arms up to be taken.Shawn swooped her up before starting to walk."So does Shawn Mendes always take girls for ice creama nd lift their baby cusions and carry them?"
"No he doesnt but he couldnt resist the chance with the pretty girl he saw at the sea shore." We burst out laughing including Amelia.While we were walking a few girls ran up to us.I was surprise no one came early but there was some concert down the boulevard so I guess most teens were there."Hey could you give me-"
"Yeah sure no problem.Take all the time you need." I said stepping away with Amelia so he could talk to the girls.After about 5minutes he finished and we resumed walking.We reached a few feet from my family who were already giving me the stares."Um Shawn do you want to meet them because they really want to know which guy I picked up.I see it in my mom's face." We laughed and he said yes.We let Amelia down as she ran to her mom.Shawn and I strolled towards them."Hey guys."
"Hey hun,who is your friend?" My mom asked."Guys this is Shawn Mendes.Famous Canadian born singer,songwriter and musician."
"Shawn this is my mom,Brenda,my aunt,Vanessa,my uncle,Henry,my other uncle ,Jason and well you met Amelia."
Everyone said hello to Shawn with excitement."Its nice to meet you guys.I am sorry but I have to steal Megan for ice cream.I hope it is not a problem."
"No no not at all.Have fun."
"Would you guys like anything?" Shawn asked sweetly.Damn.This boy too fine to be real."You remembered the promise?" Amelia asked making me laugh.Shawn smiled and said yes.We took the orders we got and began our journey.On our way we were stopped so Shawn can talk to fans.I got a few death glares as well.If only they knew that I had 10times more of the excitement and shock bubbling in me.We reached the ice cream van and ordered:a chocolate swirl,a bubblegum,a strawberry and 2vanilla ice cream all in little bowls except for our 2 vanilla ice creams.I pulled out my money to pay but Shawn stopped me."Remember this is my treat for hitting you with a soccer ball." I giggled as we took everything.Our walk back was slow but enjoyable.Half way back Shawn passed his friends and got some whistling."Shawn you should go back to your friends.I mean i basically stole you away from them."
"No its okay.I have been with them everyday for I cant tell you how long.I need to get away." We continyed talking about the msot random stuff there was."So Megan where are you from?"
"I am from Trinidad.A place in the Caribbean but I was born here.How did you know I am not from here?"
"Well you have a nice skin tone,your accent is almost musical and well you seem different in the best way possible."
"Well thank you and Shawn where are you from?" Shawn laughed."Wow usually people end up telling me everything about myself and not asking."
"Well I had like to know Shawn Mendes the boy who hit me with a ball not Shawn Mendes,teen hearthrob and plus you said it yourself.I am different."
"Wow major props for that.You are amazing and to answer your question I am from Canada." Shawn was going to ask something but was stopped due to some more fans.I stepped away and sat down on the sand for a while until I felt a body next to me."Sorry about that I have to-"
"Yeah no worries I understand."
"How are you so chill about it?If I was talking to someone and keep getting stopped I would will someone." Shawn laughed.
"I guess you got to understand a lifestyle that you want to find yourself in one day."
"You are a singer?" Shawn asked with a anxious smile."No.I wish though I like to sing but I sound like a dying cat.I actually want to be an actress.I love acting.I find it a good way to express yourself amd to take on the role of a different person is a challenge and I mean who doesnt love a challlenge right?"Shawn raised his eyebrows."I am impressed well I guess I will see you on screen one day." I sighed
"Hopefully." We stood a distance from my family."Well Shawn it was a pleasure to meet you.I enjoyed your company today.Can I get a quick picture before I leave?"
"Sure." We snapped a quick pic and before I left Shawn grabbed my hand."Listen Megan I was wondering if maybe you had like to get lunch or dinner or just coffee with me some day?" I was shocked."You okay?" Shawn questioned."You dont have too."
"No I would love to." I smiled.
"Great.Here is my phone.Put in your number." Shawn said.Well I was shook.After that we exchanged goodbyes and went our ways.As i walked up to my mom she smiled."He is going to be the one.Just wait and see this summer is going to be a good one."
