I couldnt contain the smile that was forming on my face.It was actually happening.I stared at the positive pregnancy test in my hand as I sat on the toilet.After 5years of marriage,Shawn and I are going to start our own family.Shawn and I have know each other 2years before getting married and after that I had some problems which could have affected me being able to get pregnant and Shawn would always say dont worry.He was right.Shawn had been busy at the studio working for the past weeks and every time I got up,I would feel sick but I never told Shawn since I didnt want to worry him.Luckily in 2 days is Fathers' Day so I could tell him the great news but for now I have got to hide the pregnancy test and book a doctor's appointment for tomorrow.Hopefully it all goes well.
*Tomorrow*
"Babe,where are you going?" Shawn pouts from the bed.Luckily today I vomitted while he was asleep so he didnt know anything."I have got to do some last minute shopping for my dad." I quickly said.I was lying since I got my dad his new car and a watch already but Shawn only knew about the car so I could day I bought the watch.I felt bad I had to leave since today was Saturday and Shawn was home."You feeling better though hun?" Shawn asked still in bed.I walked over and gave him a quick peck on the lips,"As good as I could be.Now go back to sleep.You are always working.Get some rest."
"I want you though."
"I will be back in 2hours.I think you could survive.Bye love you." I said walking out the bedroom and soon house as I headed to the doctor.Luckily no one had seen me so I didnt need to worry about the media."Mrs.Mendes?"
"Yes."
"Follow me." A woman smiled.I walked into the room and they ran a few test before coming back in."Mrs.Mendes you are without doubt 5weeks pregnant.
Congratulations."
"Five?Oh my God.Thank you." I smiled."Would you like us to run an ultrasound?"
"Yes please.Can I get it today.I want to surprise Shawn tomorrow."
"Of course." After my ultrasound since was mostly me crying I got thr pictures and couldnt hold back the tears and smile.I couldnt believe it was happening.
*Fathers' Day*
"Wow hun you look amazing." Shawn complimented me as I finished my makeup.I decided to wear a simple lace top paired with a waist high skirt which stopped right above my knee.Shawn and I were having Fathers' Day lunch by us so both our parents eould be here anytime.The doorbell rang and Shawn went to get it.Hugs and kisses were shared and everyone was starving so we had lunch and desserts.After that it was presents time,Shawn and I got Manny a brand new jeep and tickets to see his favourite game and my dad got a new car and his watch.The two of them couldnt stop smiling and thanking us for it."Actually the gifts arent finish yet, Shawn this is for you," I said nervously handing him the card with my ultrasound.Shawn looked at me confused but I told him to open it.Once Shawn saw the picture he just stared at me while everyone sat in shock."Happy Fathers's Day Shawn!" I smiled,pressing a hand on my belly.Shawn shot up from his chair and grabbed me spinning me around before kissing me."I cant believe it!I am gonna be a dad!I am getting my family!" Shawn practically shouts.The entire envening was spent talking all about parenthood and baby stuff.While Shawn would wrap an arm around me and kiss my non existant baby bump.
