"You suck at this," Josie giggled as she grabbed the PS4 controller from Alpha Reggie and finished fighting Penguin's men in Arkham Knight.

"In my defense, luv, I've never played this thing before. Cut a chap some slack, will you?" Alpha Reggie asked and relaxed back as Josie continued to play.

"Well you suck, and I'm bored. Again."

Sinclair had been come-and-go all week. Ever since that bath where they'd been at peace Sinclair had been busy. He worked day and night trying to track down Maximus and predict the ex-Beta's next attack.

Reggie had met Josie a few days after Sinclair had started going missing for days on end. The cockney Alpha was extremely nice. He was very dominate, but extremely kind and understanding. When Sinclair held meetings with the other Alphas Reggie would translate the jargon Sinclair used and explain what Alpha was what and whether or not he was powerful.

Josie was curious as to why the Alphas were helping. Reggie explained that there were attaks in all the other Alpha's packs. This was every much their fight as it was Sinclair's. However, some Alphas were beginning to blame the Highlander. It wasn't their fault that Sinclair's ex-Beta was a psychotic Rogue who was hell-bent on vengence.

But they still helped, for now.

Reggie and Fin also did not get along. Fin was ridiculous sometimes and slightly overdramatic and Reggie would poke fun.

Josie knew he was an Alpha and this was his job, but she just wanted to spend time with him. He didn't even go to bed some nights because he worked through the star-hours. It was horrible because when Josie woke from the nightmares that plagued her sleep he wasn't there.

"I could take you in any other real life game, luv." Reggie chuckled and Josie didn't even look awat from her game. Simply snorted and repeatedly pressed 'X' and leaned in.

"Sure sure," Josie giggled and Reggie grinned.

"Wanna shoot some stuff with your Fey magic?"

Apparently, according to the Book of Fey, Josie had the ability to shoot Fey Fire. All Fey had this ability, but some were just less catastrophic as others. As seen when she killed her grandpa, and as a result her grandma, Josie had a high temperature Fey Fire.

"Wanna burn the building down?" Josie retorted and Reggie rolled his eyes.

"You won't burn down the building, luv." He huffed, "Besides the only way to get better at controllin' your Fey Fire is practicing."

"Shooting marble statues in the middle of the hall is not practicing, it's dangerous." Josie sighed and put down the controller, she shot Reggie a grin."It's playing with fire."

Reggie chortled and Josie walked to the window at the sound of little kids playing. There was a large group throwing a pigskin, and a little girl Josie remembered sitting on a bench in all black watching. Kimmy.

Josie had felt horrible to hear about Kimmy's twin, Kye's, murder. Josie didn't know them too well, but they seemed like nice kids. Kye was innocent of anything that could leave a monster like Maximus to want them dead.

Josie was finishing her last bit of reading with the Book of Wolves. She was down to their rituals. The Mating Ritual was seemingly basic. She'd read enough books to know the simple things. The two must consumate their vows, then the wolf had to mark the female as his. This part was the tricky thing. The way a wolf marks isn't simply by a bite. The two had to continue 'consumating' their vows from sundown to sunup. It sounded exhausting.

Josie wondered what Sinclair would be like in bed. He seemed relatively in control, but the day they first met he seemed feral. He looked ready to pounce. Would he be feral in bed? Or slow and gentle?
