Y/N POV
Yang: Y/N, please get up
Me: noooo, bed nice
Yang: come on, its the girls' birthday today
Me: oh jeez will they even remember
Yang: I remember mine
Me: fine I'm getting up
Someone knocked on the bedroom door, it was either Pancake wanting to go out, Qrow, or the girls. I opened the door and of course it was Pancake.
Me: let's go
Yang POV
I cracked open the door to the girls' room and they were still sleeping, I find It so hard to believe that they turn 5 today.
Y/N *outside*: PANCAKE ON THE TREE NOT ME
Y/N's screaming woke the girls up, they jumped out of bed and immediately started running. They got this energy from their father, I was never this happy to wake up.
Olivia: hey Mom
Elizabeth: how did you sleep
Me: I slept well, how about you two
Olivia: we slept well.....where's Daddy
Me: Pancake
Pancake then ran back into the house and went on the couch.
Y/N: Beowulf used bathroom
Elizabeth: hey old man
Y/N: who you calling old man squirt
Elizabeth: Olivia your turn
Olivia: I got nothing
Y/N: anyway, girls, today is your birthday, so I got you both something really nice
Y/N pulled out a sword and a pair of gauntlets, just like mine.
Y/N: open your eyes now
Me: Y/N, they're 5
Y/N: I was using knives at their age
Olivia grabbed the sword and Elizabeth grabbed the gauntlets, ran outside and started using them
Y/N: honey, I know it's hard, but look at it like this, if anything happens to us, they'll be ready to take on the world.
Me: I know, wait a minute something is going to happen to me before you, you my love are way to stubborn to be killed
Y/N: who knows my stubbornness might get me killed
Me: can't see it happening
Pancake then walked up to me and just laid down.
Me: could you feed him
Y/N: I'll make the pancakes
I know this first chapter is kinda short, but that's to ease into it. It's kinda like Season 4, just to know where everything is, it will pick up more in Chapter 2, hope to see you guys throughout the book
