Chapter 5

Amara Cullen

There was a sudden ache in my chest and a tug on my heart. A heavy breath escaped me as a firm weight was placed on my chest. He's gone, he left. What was I even thinking? Of course, he would leave... Everyone leaves me. Why would anyone want to stay anyway? I don't know I guess it's just because I felt connected to him somehow.

I turn my head to see everyone embracing Nessie. "Renesmee! Oh, we are so glad your safe!" Bella yelled causing another pang in my heart. Tears fill my eyes and I step into the darkness, I imagine my secret spot and I appear there. As soon as my feet touch the ground my tears spill out of my eyes like waterfalls. Sobs rake through my whole being causing me to fall to the ground as I try to take in enough air in between my cries. I haven't cried since Bella started treating me like I wasn't there and Renesmee like she was all anyone would ever need...

Flashback

I hope Mommy likes me, Daddy doesn't like me... He always looks at me with an ugly face, he always smiles at my sister though. Auntie Rose is playing with Renesmee and her toys while everyone watches them. I want to play but I don't think Auntie Rose would let me. Renesmee only looks a few months old but I look about a year old. Auntie Rose suddenly picks Renesmee up and everyone stands in front of them. Everyone starts greeting someone named 'Bella'. That must be Mommy's name! She holds Renesmee with such care. I waddle up to her "Ma-ma" I sound out causing her to look at me in awe. "Who's this?" She asks, "That's Renesmee's twin Bella, she killed you! She is more vampire than Renesmee" Daddy said glaring at me. "Oh, well at least we have our sweet Renesmee" Mommy cooed at her.

My bottom lip quivered and tears started trailing down my cheeks before I sniffled and let out a loud cry, "Be quiet! Renesmee is showing Bella her gift."

Flashback Over

I eventually stop crying and I fall asleep against my special rock.
