yoongi was released from the hospital a few days later, and it was a relief to finally have him home.

we walked up the steps, and i fumbled for my key before jamming into the lock. yoongi followed me in, and we entered the pitch black house. "fuck, it's so dark in here," yoongi commented.

"here, let me hit the lights." i said, smiling to myself as i flicked the switch.

"surprise!" a loud cheer rang out, our friends springing up from behind the furniture and walls. a banner was tacked up on the wall behind the couch, reading out 'welcome home yoongi'.

i looked over, seeing yoongi's lips slowly spread into a wide gummy smile. he whipped his head towards me, grinning accusingly. "did you know about this?" i nodded, unable to stop grinning.

a couple days ago, i had started planning a coming home party, and all of our friends were in on it.

"welcome home, hyung." namjoon walked up, jin not far behind. he wrapped yoongi in a hug, and i smiled at the height difference i'd never really noticed before.

jin had cooked up a pile of food, so everyone quickly filled up their plates and dug in. "wow, this is so good," commented taehyung, his mouth full. jin beamed.

the rest of the night passed by, and by the time everyone had left it was a little past one in the morning. i cleaned up while yoongi went to shower. as i collected garbage, my thoughts were on how happy yoongi had seemed at the party. i realized it was probably because he saw that people really cared about him, something that i think he struggled with.

"thank you for this," yoongi wrapped his arms around me, pressing a kiss to my cheek. i blushed, turning around and wrapping my arms around him.

"i'm just glad to have you back."
