I see myself
The way I know others see me
As a person
Who has never done a wrong
But will never do a right
That person who got seventh in class
Out of a few hundred students
That person who did okay
That person whose pretty smart
So why don't they do better?
They should be the best
That person who knows a trick
But someone elses knows more
Why aren't they like them?
That person who is a true artist
But someone else is more so
Why aren't they as good?
Every step, Every leap, Every bound
Somehow falls short
Of where I should be
Always stuck behind someone
Better at something than me
With no hope of ever catching up
So close to the goal
And so good at what I do
But never good enough
