Origins

You and Nikolai were laying in one of the many bunkers, trying to rest as much as you could before the new round started. The rest of the group were either sleeping or trying to find any ration of food that was available. These last 8 months hadn't been the best as you had been pregnant and also trying to fight endless hordes of zombies, but you knew you had to keep fighting for your little life growing inside you. After trying to sleep for about fifteen minutes you notice something doesn't feel right, you look down and your water had broke. 'This can't be happening,not here, not now' you thought to yourself. You turned to Nikolai to wake him up only to see the crawler had bled out and and a new round would start any minute. "Nikolai!" You scream, he quickly wakes up and grabs you and asks "what's wrong, (Y/N)" you try to respond quickly but are interrupted by an extremely painful contraction, " my water... i-it broke AHHHHHHH!" He quickly grabs you into his strong arms and calls the others to follow him
to the spawn room. After what felt like eternity you all finally reached the spawn room and Nikolai laid you on one of the mattresses and called to Richtofen " Edward we need you!" Richtofen came running toward you and instructed the following: "Tank and Takeo you deal with the zombies and Nikolai and I will stay here to deliver the baby." Everyone nodded and assumed their roles. At this point your mind was clustered, one how are you and your baby going to survive when countless of zombies are trying to attack you and also the more important worry you had was you hadn't made it full term. Your baby was going to be premature and you couldn't even begin to fathom how you would react if your baby had any defects or worse, but you tried to stay positive but, it wasn't easy. As the hours went on you felt the contractions only getting worse and no amount of Nikolai comforting and reassuring you was helping. Once the hordes died down Richtofen yelled for Takeo and said " Tak go get some bed sheets or towels, (Y/N) is crowning. " Ok this is it,(Y/N) you are going to have to push, remember I'm right here." You heard Nikolai say as he held your hand. You were trying to mentally prepare yourself for what was about to happen, you were about to be a mom. That was something you could have never imagined would happen, at least not in a world like this. Your screams filled the spawn room until finally you heard Richtofen shout "(Y/N), wait something is wrong," "what do you mean something is wrong?" You say in between breaths, Richtofen responds hesitantly and says "th-the baby's head is stuck...I'm gonna need one more big push and we might just have a baby in a few minutes." You did as you were told and you gave one last big and excruciating push, the pain was unbearable but your child was worth it. Finally after the push was over with Richtofen exclaimed "joy the baby is now here and it's a Girl!" You and Nikolai kissed for a short moment and Richtofen carried the newborn over to you. Her cries were loud until she was placed in your arms. "What should we name her?" Nikolai asked while stroking the baby's hair. " I love the name Meredith , so there it is Meredith Belinski." "I love it" he said smiling at her, you laid your hard back on his chest as you both adored your new baby girl. Once the round was getting towards an end Tank tied up a crawler to one of the poles on the room and walked over to join everyone else to see the new addition to the group. "She's perfect" said Tank, "that she is" Richtofen said while grabbing a blanket to wrap the baby in. You decided that it was probably best to nurse the baby now since you didn't now if you would have time to do so in the next few hours, so you removed your shirt and directed Meredith to your left breast to feed. Nikolai couldn't keep his eyes off her, he was just amazed at how beautiful and precious she was. " My daughter, you are the most beautiful female I have ever seen other than your mother. I will always protect you along with your mother. But, know that me and your mommy will always be here for you and that will never change." You could only smile at him, he turned his head to look at you, he grabbed your face with his hands and said "(Y/N), I love you now more than ever, because you just gave me the second best thing that could have ever happened to me and for that all I can do is just cherish and adore you for the rest of our lives." You give him a sweet smile and respond with " Nikolai we made her and together we will be okay. I don't know how much time we have here but we will make the most of it for sure." You both just continue to hold each other while you rocked your daughter in your arms.
