Set after The mission Odysseus

Davie's POV:
Three days had passed since the Obama was overtaken, since my home was overtaken. I still couldn't shake the feeling that everything we had on that ship was gone, Admiral Briggs was dead and we now don't know the fate of this world anymore. They put me, Harper, and the rest of my team on another aircraft carrier until further notice. It was nice but it just didn't feel the same and the fact that Raul is still alive still eats at me but at this point the only thing that really matters is to survive this shit show.

I had just finished going on my daily power walk around this ship when I saw Harper come onto the deck I was on. "Mason what are you doing up this early?" He asked as he walked up to me, " you know I go for a jog or power-walk every morning" he chuckled and looked and showed me his watch and replied " at 5:00 in the morning?" I just brushed him off and spat "whatever Mike I got to go I have to start getting ready for the mission briefing in a couple hours." He grabbed my arm softly and sighed " Davie you need to move on we have no time to dwell." I turned around and yelled " look last time I checked I'm the leader of this team, so don't tell me what I have to do." I could tell that he was obviously pissed so he spat back " Mason, I'm just trying to help you out and you're right you are the leader and we need you strong for what may come." That part actually hit me, I needed to be strong for them and for my country but at this point in my life I had never felt so weak. " Harper I'm sorry, I-I just don't know what to do anymore. Briggs and afraid...they're gone." Tears started to spill out of my eyes as I talked, he grabbed my hand and whispered "come with me."

We ended up walking back to our quarters and into his room which was where we often would talk or hang out after missions. He guided me onto his small bed he had in his new room and said "some crazy shit has happened these last few days..." I nestled my back on the wall and replied "no shit" we both laughed for a couple of minutes until he grabbed my hand and whispered " you know I can't say everything will be alright but what I can say is that I'll give everything my best shot." I smiled at his statement and said " Mike you're honestly great, I wish more men were like you." He looked down at his hand that was holding yours and replied " You think so?" I just nodded and whispered "yes" our faces were extremely close at this moment and what happened next surprised me. Harper leaned in closer to me and slightly brazed my lips with his and moved his hand to gently pet my face. Not wanting this moment to end I kissed him back slowly and wrapped my hand around his. This motivated him to become more passionate as he started to move his arms around my back and kiss my neck, I moved into his lap and began to moan lightly as he found the special spot of my neck. After we had kissed for about 5 minutes he started to lay me down onto his bed and whispered " I'll stop if you want me to?" I just shook my head and strictly spoke " no, I need this." He started to unzip my jacket while I removed his shirt and sweatpants. After we were both freed from our clothing he gently rubbed his hands down my arms and said " Davie you are so beautiful." Shocked at his words, I didn't respond but I kissed the tattooed area on his arm and said lightly " I need you." Once he heard that he gently leveled himself to my entrance and slowly pushed into me. I hadn't felt pleasure like this in a long time and even though I knew I didn't love Mike, I knew that at this moment this what we both needed. 30 minutes had passed when both announced our climaxes and finished. I laid on him for a few seconds until rolled off of him and said " thank you" He just looked at me confused and replied " what do you mean?" "Thank you for this, I-I really needed  it." He turned to wrap his arm around me and said "you know I wish we did this a lot sooner." I gave a sad sigh and replied "I guess it took a tragedy to form this relationship." He nestled deeper into my hair and said "guess so."
