Jack's point of view
"Jack Dylan Grazer you have got some explaining to do!"
My front door slammed shut downstairs, scaring to the point where I dropped my phone onto my face, cursing as I heard Reylynn stomp up the stairs.
"You bitch! You scared me!"
She slammed open my door, tossing her bag to the side and jumping on top of me, sitting on my stomach and knocking my breath out.
"What the fuck!"
"Don't you what the fuck me, Jack! Tell me why I saw you on that fuckboy's Instagram!"
I couldn't breathe, she was sitting right on the center of my stomach. When I didn't respond she put more pressure, making me choke out a struggling "What the hell are you talking about?"
She got off me, sighing and picking my phone up off the floor. She typed in my password, then pointed at a picture of me on my screen, except I didn't post it. It was captioned "he's gorgeous when he sleeps."
I sat up quickly, not caring that I was still struggling to reigain my breath, and looked at the picture closely. Finn had posted it yesterday, right after we started the movie.
"I can explai-"
"I don't care whether you can explain! I told you to stay away from him!"
Her hysterical tone made her sound like a stressed out single mother, and I think she knew it. We stared each other dead in the eyes for a moment before we both burst into laughter, falling back on the bed.
"Okay but seriously, did you fuck him? Because you didn't FaceTime me that night and he posted about you."
"Reylynn, listen, he's such a nice boy! Like seriously! He hasn't even made any advances on me! He came over, we worked on the project for an hour. Oh Rey, he's so smart. We watched a movie and I fell asleep, that's all!"
She pushed me off the bed, and I hit the floor with a loud thud. "What if it's a trick? Did he stay here all night?"
I groaned, holding one of my arms but not bothering to get off the floor because she'd just push me right back down. "No, Wyatt, Jaeden, and Sophia came and I told them the same thing I told you and then kicked them out, which is also something I should do to you."
I could practically hear her roll her eyes. "You'd never. Anyway, continue."
"That's it! I haven't talked to him at all! I didn't even see him at school today!"
"So you were looking?"
I sat up and crossed my legs like a kindergartner would, putting my hand on one knee and moving it to the other like an arch. "This is how far you jump to conclusions."
"Just asking, smart ass," she laughed, trying to knock me off the bed again once I got back on. I retaliated my squishing her cheeks so hard that she couldn't open her eyes.
"Jack I hate you so much!" She whined, getting up and grabbing her bookbag. "Anyway, I stopped here on my way to Talia's house. Bye bitch."
Finn's point of view
It was painful for me to miss a day of school.
That meant missed classwork, missed homework, and more importantly, no Jack.
I walked into school the next day, the remnants of my cold from the day before situated at the back of my throat and the traces of my fever still lingering on my forehead and cheeks. I still looked good though.
