5- Scroll for a stroll

SALIM

Nay fear me dears- come along,
Do not stand behind those dirty drapes,
Don't fear that oldster with'is mustache long,
Come feed me almonds 'n nuts and grapes!

O' come- this scale is a good seat
It's holy! But it's old anyways,
Don't worry that the king may punish or beat,
Nobody opposes what Salim says!

Hey you! Yes you- the ugly one!
The one who at my touch shivers,
Speeches don't suit the emperor's son
Go throw this scroll in the Yamuna river

SALIM hands the scroll to the lady and all the others laugh, playing on the scale and drinking quality ale

SALIM

Is it your beauties or these drinks?
That makes the world- seem two to me!
It shakes 'n stirs and grows 'n shrinks!
But go get one more goblet for me

The women jump down from the Babar's Scale and kick the drinks under the bed, but not before the king AKBAR sees all of this
The women flee again

AKBAR

Is this the son I begg'd for?
Faqir did tell he'll be high 'n low,
I do not adore, not anymore!
Some sense and respect you'll grow!

AKBAR slaps SALIM, he falls down, half of drink, half of impact.
