It has been a year since that weekend. Neither of us have gone back to the hills since that happened.
We got married that spring and I moved into Luke's house. We were very happy together, and I knew that our future together was going to be great.
Luke still worries about me when he doesn't see me for more than a day, and I know that this will last for a while. I also refuse to be in the wilderness alone. It scares me too much.
Maybe one day we will go to a different trail somewhere else, but I do not think that will be happening anytime soon.
Luke and I heard back from the police about the car that we saw in the parking lot at the hills; however, that is another story.
