Chapter 17

Alex's POV

It has been a few weeks since the suspension and I have been doing good since, I may have almost mouthed off to the same teacher but I held myself back from doing so. It is almost Spring break, just a few more hours. Right now I am sitting with the group at our lunch table, the same old same old. I have 3 more periods of school left and I can not wait any longer to get to Spring break! Like seriously, it's only 1 week but it's 1 week of freedom. Spring break parties, no teachers and then after that, soon will be Summer Break!

"What do you wanna do this Spring break?" Brandon asks breaking me out of my thoughts.

"I don't know, maybe go up to the cabin my family owns." Tyler says shrugging.

"We should all go!" Mason says.

"Yeah that would be fun!" Jordyn exclaims.

"I guess we could, if everyone wants to." Tyler says looking at me.

"C'mon sis we gotta go! This will be awesome!" Mason says.

"Yeah Alex, let's do it!" Jordyn says.

"Fine, fine, I'll go!" I say raising my hands in surrender.

"Yayy it's a plan!" Jordyn exclaims again. Tyler smirks and looks at me,

"Yup it's a date." He says smirking. I look at him confusedly and he just looks away, listening back to the conversation happening, so I listen back in too.

"So everyone be packed tonight by maybe 9:30PM and meet at our house and then we'll sleep over there and then head out the next morning to the cabin. We only have a week so we might as well make the most of it!" Mason says.

"Yeah I'm in!" Jordyn says.

"Same." Brandon says.

"I guess I have to be, we are meeting at my house after all." I say shrugging.

"Same, I have to be in, it's my cabin we are going to." Tyler says.

We continue our conversations until the bell rings. Everyone says there goodbyes and I head off to our next classes, luckily now I have the nice teacher instead of the mean one. I walk into my classroom actually on time which was a little confusing, the door was slightly cracked open, this is weird, it has to be a trap I think. I look up and it is certainly a trap, there is a bucket of paint waiting to be dumped on me, and I am the last student in the class, everyone is watching, I open the door a little bit more so the paint bucket can't fall because it's still balanced and then slip in, luckily for me I am skinny.

"Nice try Christian you'll have to do better than that next time." I say rolling my eyes. I walk to my seat and put my stuff down. I look up waiting for the teacher and the next thing you know ice cold water was being poured on me. Luckily the teacher walks in as it's being poured but unfortunately the bucket of paint is dumped on her. She looks up to see Christian pouring water on me and loses it.

"CHRISTIAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?" She yells.

"I am just giving Miss. Stink a shower." He says while plugging his nose like I stink.

"THAT'S IT CHRISTIAN COME WITH ME TO THE OFFICE!!" She yells.

"Why it's not my fault she stinks!" He yells.

"COME WITH ME NOW OR YOU WILL BE IN EVEN MORE TROUBLE!" She yells again.

"Fine miss." He says accepting defeat.

"You start walking down there and if you're not at the office by the time I get there you will be in a lot of trouble." She says.

He quickly starts walking and then she walks over to me. I look down at my hands not wanting to look at her just in case she yells.

"Are you okay Alex?" She asks looking at me and I just nod.

"We can go down to the office together so you can go home early since it is only 2 periods you will miss instead of going home to change and coming back." She says sympathetically.

"Thank you miss." I say.

"Don't mention it let's go." She says and I nod and get up grabbing my stuff.

"Students go to Study Hall." She says calmly and all the students start walking to the door saying stuff like 'Thank you' and 'I hope you get that out' she just nods at them and smiles. Once they are all gone we start walking down to the office.

"Oh no, you're already back Alex?" Mrs. S says which makes me laugh.

"I'm not here because I got in trouble." I say and she nods and then sees the teacher behind me.

"Oh my goodness what happened to you!?" Mrs. S says getting up from her chair and walking over to her.

"Christian dumped paint on me and ice cold water on Alex." Mrs. Batts says. (Mrs. Batts is the nice teacher if any of you didn't catch on)

"Oh my goodness, I was wondering why Christian came in here and just sat down and never said anything." Mrs. S says.

"Yeah well now you know." Mrs. Batts says.

"Yeah I guess I do, now Alex, do you want to borrow lost and found clothes?" Mrs. S says looking at me. I was about to answer when Mrs. Batts responds.

"I told her she can go home the rest of the day." She says.

"Oh okay, well have a great Spring break and see you when school starts back up!" Mrs. S says. I just nod and start walking to my locker. I grab my phone out of my pocket and text the group chat.

Heyy, guess what? -Alex

Oh no, what now? -Mason

So let's just say I'm out of school the rest of the day. -Alex

Wait why, another suspension? -Mason

Umm no, see you're not going to like this very much... -Alex

Alex tell me -Mason

So um, Christian, he um, kinda tried to dump paint on me but missed me and hit Mrs. Batts with it and then he poured ice cold water on me, let's just put it like that. -Alex

Are you okay? -Mason

Yeah, I am just let off the rest of the day along with Mrs. Batts so we can change -Alex

Just wait until I get my hands on him! -Mason

Mason stop -Jordyn

Wow can't wait to come over tonight (notice sarcasm, lol) -Brandon

I agree with Brandon -Tyler

Okay guys hae fun in your classes, I'll see you all at my house tonight! -Alex

Everyone texts goodbye and then I turn my phone off and hop in my truck, I am so cold so I turn up the heat. I drive home. When I get there I run to my room and hop in the shower. I change and start packing for this week.

I hear the front door open and then slam shut and then what sounds like running up the stairs.

"Alex!" I hear Mason yell.

"What?" I yell back.

"Where are you?" He asks

"Where else would I be? I am in my room you dingus!" I say back.

"Oh right." He says and then my door opens.

"I can't believe he would do that, I will get him back!" He says and punches my bed.

"Calm down Mase it's not that big of a deal, I'm a big girl I can handle it." I say comforting him.

"I know I just don't like knowing my little sis is getting hurt and I can't stop it from happening." He says.

"Yeah I know." I say. We just sit there in silence but it's not an awkward silence it's a comfortable one of us just on our phones and thinking about other stuff.
