Chapter 9: Happy Birthday Tsukishima Kei!

2 days from now was Kei's birthday and I still didn't have anything that I was going to give as a present. I tried asking Yamaguchi, But he said not to mention anything about birthdays to Tsukishima since he doesn't like to celebrate his. Not sure why, but as his girlfriend I wanted to know what I could do to give him a good birthday present.

The girls had volleyball practice and Hana and me were tossing the ball to each other while Eiko and Miko - Misako - were practicing their diving. Some of the girls went for runs while others tried to improve their individual skill.

I was trying to find a new way to toss. Although I'm not sure what else there could be to learn as a setter. Not that I know everything, I just couldn't think of what else a setter could do.

"Hana-chan. Since I'm setter, do you think I could get the ball to rotate on impact?" I asked as she caught the bill in her hands and placed it against her hips, tilting her head in confusion.

"What do you mean Kami-chan?" She scratched her head as I tried to demonstrate with arm movements.

"Like. What if I set the ball, but then the spiker hits it, it rotates and flys off when the other team receives! Just like in four square when you twist the ball so it bounces weirdly" I stated as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know Kami-kun. I think that would depend more on the spiker than the setter" She added as she tossed the ball in my direction as I tossed it back to her.

"I see....well, it would be cool if I could learn that"

"Yeah. Then we would have a better chance of getting points faster!" She exclaimed as I rolled my eyes teasing at her enthusiasm.

"Say, isn't Kei's birthday coming up soon?" She asked as I nodded my head.

"Yeah. And I still don't know what to get him!" I huffed while backing up and slamming the ball onto the ground as it bounced to Hana, warming up my arms as she slammed it back to me.

"Maybe...you can do something, a little bit....sexual" She whispered the last part as my eyes widened as I shook my head immediately.

"Aww Come on Kami! He's a boy! Maybe he's want that" She winked as I  gave her a blank expression.

"One. I am a woman and I don't give my body up that easily. And Two, Kei would never want that!" I exclaimed as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Suit yourself. Maybe you should just get him a cake instead. Or a dinosaur plushie" Hana spoke as I pondered in my head.

I really didn't know what Kei would want. What if Hana was right and what it by chance he would want something like that? But I for sure knew that I wasn't ready for that. But if it was Kei, then maybe it would be Okay?

"What's sex like?" I quietly asked as Eiko spit out her drink and the three girls looked at me with confused faces to my sudden input.

"Ehhh? Where did that come from" Miko asked as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Kei's Birthday is coming up and Hana suggested it" I pointed as she shook her head.

"N-No! I didn't say sex!!"

"How dare you influence our precious innocent Kagami!!!" Eiko yelled whole tackling Hana who was trying to escape in the background as Miko comforted me.

"Don't think about doing it. Do it when you feel ready. Or ask your brother what it is. I don't feel like ruining your innocence" Miko spoke as I nodded my head, the two girls stopped arguing as they catched up to Miko and I.
