A Paisley Party

I was enjoying a relaxing day, cleaning the house up when I heard a knock on my door. At first I hadn't heard it because I had the vacuum running. I turned it off and listened again. The person knocked again. I wondered who that could be. " Who is it?" I asked. "Girl open this door!, I got some news for you!". I recognized the voice as my best friend Joanna. I opened the door and Joanna practically ran in. " Girl you are not going to believe it!" she said bareilly able to control her excitement. I never seen her like this. "Joanna calm down, don't work yourself into a fit"

I said. " Girl I just got a invite of a lifetime" she said. "What is it?" I asked now very curious."My boss had two tickets to this event, but she couldn't go because she had something come up suddenly, so she gave me her two tickets, and you won't believe what they are to" Joanna said."What?" I said, my interest starting to get even higher. Her smile got wide. " Prince is throwing a party at Paisley Park" she said. For a moment I didn't think I heard her right. "What did you say?" I asked. Joanna laughed " Girl, I said Prince is throwing a party at Paisley park"

It took everything in me to not scream out loud. " You got tickets to a Prince party?" I asked still not believing what she said. "Yes girl, and I 'am giving you the other ticket!" said Joanna. I couldn't stop myself from screaming at this point and I hugged Joanna tight. Lora, I need to breathe" she mumbled in my chest. "oh sorry" I said a little embarrassed at my actions.Joanna laughed. "No need to hurt me over the man" she said. I gave her a playful punch. She rubbed her arm. " Admit it girl, you got it bad". Joanna loved to tase me about my love for Prince.

"Shut up" I said. " Girl, you know you would love some Purple One" she said. This got a eye roll from me. "Hey, I call it like I see it and you my friend has got the purple fever" said Joanna. Again I rolled my eyes. "Look, if you want to act like you don't that's you, but, we need to go shopping for something to wear, The party is this weekend" said Joanna. I gasped " This weekend?"" Yep, so let's go find us some outfits" she said. " Ok, just give me a few minutes to get ready" I said heading to my bedroom. " Don't take all day" she says. " I know you are not talking about me,

when it comes to taking time to get ready, you win" I shot back. "Whatever girl , just hurry" she said. I rolled my eyes and started to get ready. Once I was ready we was off to the stores. The first three stores had nothing we like. "Why don't we try this shop?" said Joanna. I looked at the store, It was a small store so I didn't expect it to have much, but when we went in I was surprised. They had some pretty nice dress. " The party invite said to wear white or purple" she said walking to the section with the white dresses. while I went to the section with the purple

dresses. " I think I found one" said Joanna. " Me too" I said. showing her the dress

" Of course" she said " Trying to get the purple one's attention?" she asked. "You know what I don't even know why I put up with you" I said. "Girl, you know me" she said. " Yeah that's the problem' I said. Joanna laughed" Lets just go pay for these dresses, the dress is nice" she said."Thank you, so is yours" I said. " Who knows, maybe it will catch a certain Hazel eyed man's attention" she said. " Girl you are a mess, let's go" I said. Little did I know that things was about to take a very interesting path.
