plot
he/she meets someone while on a cruise ship and they begin to both spend time with each other. eventually, both characters gain feelings for one another, but everything begins to go wrong. the ship ends up sinking, and the two are separated.
extras
you could change the situation, for example it could be a plane where the two main characters meet each other, or something entirely different, like an apocalypse happened sometime after the two characters met (i don't know, just whatever you want the situation to be).
this could also be some type of school trip, where the two main characters maybe don't like each other, but get paired up for this field trip. a large conflict that it is out of their control could happen and the two of them have to rely on one another, or they just have to work out the conflicts between the two of them.

i know the idea sounds like a rip- off of titanic but that's not how i got the idea. i realised this later on.
