plot
a girl/boy discovers this new coffee shop. during one visit, one boy/girl sticks out to the main character. however, the main character is already dating someone. but, the relationship between the two is not good, so he/she sees the employee at the coffee shop as a way to start "a new life."
extras
for this idea, i had an entire storyline to go along with it. so i decided i'll put it here as well.

the main character (the person who discovers the coffee shop) and the second main character (the coffee shop employee) went to school together when they were younger for a long time. during the period of them going to school together, he/she had a close friend who liked the main character (who ends up becoming the main character's partner as of the time the story takes place). he/she tried to help their friend get with the main character and supported him in doing so. but it never happened.
when junior high came, the second main character and their friend started to argue and get in fights more often because, at this point, both liked him/her. in their final year of junior high, they stopped being friends, and rivalry still flowed between them. you could also have it that "the friend's" true personality came out, so they didn't lose their friendship solely because of one person.
after junior high, the friend and the main character went to the same high school, while the second protagonist went to a different one. towards the end of high school the antagonist
and dahyeon started dating.however, when he/she's partner found out that their old best friend goes to the same college as he/she, they become more controlling of them. (basically the qualities of a person you don't want started to peek out). it isn't until they find out that he/she regularly goes to the coffee shop that the other "love interest" works at that the antagonist goes insane. or, you could have the main character bring he/she to the coffee shop one day.
for more of a resolution, you could have the two, previous best friends make up in the end of their quarrel.
but, you don't have to go with any of these things, they're just things i came up with while thinking of this story idea.
example
this is an excerpt from something i wrote a while ago, so i apologize for the fact that it's not that good.

Dahyeon's POV
Clouded puffs of air formed from lips as I breathed out the cold air. Having just left my ten o'clock class, I hurriedly moved down the campus pathways.
A cup of coffee sounds good.
And a few looks at Jimin.
I shook my head and gritted my teeth. "Why does he have to be so attractive?" I muttered to myself, "all I wanted was to try some new coffee and a cutie has to work there."
The last thing I aspire to do is fall in love.
A light grip attached to my shoulder, making me freeze up. I turned my head slowly, and was met with a familiar face.
"Jimin?"
He nodded, while his eyes showed that he was smiling.
"I didn't know you study here too," I said taking in a sharp breath- and still tense.
He pulled down his face mask to talk. "All of us except for Jin-hyung go here. We all decide what hours we work at the cafe, based on our class schedule," he explained.
A black cap covered his head with a few blonde strands sticking out. "Is that where you're headed?" I asked.
"네," he responded. "Let me guess, you're going there too?"
I looked away in embarrassment and nodded.
"Dahyeon-ah likes our coffee~" Jimin laughed.
Dahyeon-ah?
Does he know how old I am?
Or does he know me from somewhere else?
We continued to walk down the concrete paths that twisted around the entire campus. Neither of us spoke. Occasionally, my hand would brush his by accident, and he would just laugh when ever I apologized.
"죄송합니다," I would say frantically with a small bow. 'Sorry.'
"괜찮아요, 진짜," he replied. 'It's okay, seriously.'
author's note
first, this idea and everything is really long, and i'm sorry about that. this idea was for an actual story i was writing, but i didn't like it so i decided to put it here. so if some things seem confusing or bland, it's because i was also writing in the process, so i knew what i wanted, or what was meant to be there. i hope i was able to make this somewhat clear.
if you're confused about things, or have any questions about certain things i've mentioned, i'd be happy to explain.
