FALLING
xix. SORRY
"YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH HER, CHRIS. I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR EYES."

"Yeah, is it too late to say sorry?
Cause I'm missing more than just your body
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?" - Justin Bieber [Sorry]

[THE DAY OF THE POST]

THE LAST FEW DAYS WERE INCREDIBLY HARD FOR BOTH AMELIA AND CHRIS. Neither of them could stop thinking about what happened, especially the night of love making they shared. Amelia would get flustered every time she thought about it, while Chris would get slightly turned on. Although they both knew it was wrong, seeing as they weren't even together.

Chris had spent the last few days with Hannah, Drift and the cast and crew of Containment whilst filming on set. He was happy, really happy, but also upset with the fact that he may never speak to Amelia again. And that hurt, a lot. So much so, that most nights he couldn't sleep, only thinking of her, or the nights he did sleep, he'd be having nightmares or dreams of her.

Amelia knew that pain also. She spent those past days hell bent on finishing the novel she had started years ago. The one based around her and Chris' friendship. She spent her days in her study, writing, drinking, writing, or being in the lounge room, playing with Silver, her puppy.

The both of them weren't on good terms, well, at least that's what they both thought. Neither of them have bothered messaging one another about the situation they were in, but they were both thinking about it.

Chris stood on set, speaking with both Hannah and Julie about whatever came to mind, when Chris' phone had vibrated in his pocket. Pulling it out in confusion, he saw the notification of Amelia posting something on Instagram, so he clicked on it to see what it was.

It was a photo of him and Drift? It was a photo taken by Amelia when they were out walking Drift. The caption made his stomach knot, and a big smile to spread across his face, but he quickly tried to hide it in case the two other ladies with him noticed.

However, Julie's sharp eyes had noticed the quick smile that tugged at Chris' lips for just a second. She grinned at him, quickly taking his phone to see what he was smiling at. Chris whined, begging for her to give it back, but she didn't until she read the post.

"You're a loser in love, you know that, right?" Julie asked, causing a confused frown to appear on the brunettes face.

"What do you mean?" asked Chris, taking his phone back from Julie.

"You're in love with her, Chris. I can see it in your eyes, along with every body else. I don't understand why you don't just tell her how you feel."

"I did, Julie. That's the problem."

"What's the problem?"

Chris' eyes fell to the ground, where his hands started fidgeting with the other. "I slept with her again, and she found out how we really met. Then we fought again, and she kicked me out of the apartment."

"Have you bothered to speak to her since then?"

Chris shook his head. "I haven't really had much time to do so, with the busy filming schedule."

Julie laughed at him. She straight up just laughed in his face at his comment. Chris' eyes averted up to hers, a confused look on his features. He didn't understand what she was laughing at. What was she laughing at?

"Busy schedule? Don't make that an excuse for not apologising to your best friend - and lover might I add - because of what you've done. If you need time to deal with personal things, just tell me. And I'll let you take some time off," explained Julie, smiling, before adding, "Maybe."

Chris chuckled. "Thank you, Julie. For understanding."

"Anything for my favourite actor," smiled Julie.

Chris' cheeks flamed up, causing a laugh to escape Julie's lips. Chris looked away, embarrassed at what just happened, but was still chuckling anyway.

"Go back to work, otherwise you won't get paid."

"Yes ma'am," saluted Chris, jokingly.

Chris turned on his heel, walking in the opposite direction of where he and Julie were talking. He made it back to where he needed to be, getting ready to film the next scene he was in.

Since the conversation with Julie earlier, he hadn't seen Hannah around much on set, and was wondering where she had gotten to.

Once the day was over, Chris made his way back to his trailer for the night. Being greeted by Drift at the door, he smiled, giving the dog a pat, before making his way inside.

He found Hannah in the small kitchen, stirring whatever was in the pan on the small stove. He smiled, walking over and greeting her with a kiss on the head. She looked up at him, smiling. She turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck, whilst his were around her waist.

Chris grinned down at her, before pressing his lips against her own. Hannah smiled, pulling away after a few seconds, before Chris rested his forehead against hers.

"Where'd you go? I haven't seen you almost all day," Chris mentioned.

Hannah turned around to face the pan again, however, it didn't stop Chris from wrapping his arms around her waist. He rested his head in the crook of her neck, smiling, as he placed gentle kisses along it.

"Julie didn't need me on set. I only had the one scene for today, so I came back here," replied Hannah.

"Oh, yeah," Chris hummed, holding her closer.

"Mmm," replied Hannah. "You hungry? I made spaghetti."

"Always," grinned Chris, pressing a kiss to her lips.

The only problem was, he was imagining Hannah as Amelia, and he didn't even feel that bad about it.
