DON’T WEEP FOR ME
Don’t pretend to weep for me now that I am dead
Not after all that we went through and all the words we said
Remember how it ended and the anger that was shared
Now I’m dead it's not the time to decide that you once cared
So go quietly about your life and leave me in the past
Put a smile upon your face, I can’t think of you downcast
My life was lived, mistakes were made and you were on the list
Move on, be glad that I am gone, I won’t believe I’m missed
The ghostly memories that you hold dear, let go, you have no right
No distant whispers for your ears, not a spectral apparition in sight
And as for me, the light is bright, the cord is gently pulling
I am a phantom in the wind, listening to the Angels calling.
