Don't let me be the girl who sits on the sidelines, anymore,

put me in the game.

Tie up your hair now, girl, you know these things won't ever stay the same

Make me ready

I still feel a little unsteady.

Don't let me hide myself in the shadows, anymore,

I want to be in the light.

Put on those red boxing gloves now, girl, it's time you stand up and fight

I will defend you

There is no more pretend, you

got to be real.

Don't let me be silent, anymore,

It's time I speak

Shake off that muzzle now, girl, open your mouth, release

I am defiant,

Ambassador of Truth.
