Here I am, wishing on a shooting star,
and praying for you so very hard —

I could draw you with my pencil,
or simply use an etch-a-sketch,
or write an outline, tastefully using a stencil —

Still, I'm sitting here and thinking about you,
don't judge me, but I might be listening to "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's, too —

How can I miss you so much,
it's hard to say if we've ever met —

Yet, I can imagine you out there,
I can see you sleeping in a star, I bet —

However, if you're not asleep inside a star,
I'll have you know that if I meet a genie tonight,
you will be my first wish —

'Betcha never had a friend like me." :)
