I stared at the messy pile of books and skewed papers as I let my body slump to the floor, my exams were three weeks away and I felt nowhere near prepared.

English is a subject that I understand but I've never been good at writing an essay as I'm never able to properly answer the question.

Maths is a jumble of numbers, letters and shapes at this point I mean who was the "Genius" that put letters in maths?

And science is the bane of my existence, I guess it's never really interested me and I find it hard to make ends meet in that particular subject.

I let out a loud groan as I rolled around on the ground finally resting on my back.

The school day had been painfully long and I just wanted to spend my Friday out with my friends at the park or down at the beach just soaking up the sun and relaxing in the almost summer weather but of course I'm cooped up inside studying for the rest of the afternoon.

My mum burst through the door, the metal door handle hitting the wall harshly, the smile spread across her face is a stark contrast to the deep frown etched into my facial features,

"Lloyd's at the door," She started but before she could go on I was on my feet and making my way to our apartment front door smiling brightly as I embraced Lloyd in a tight hug, I moved to the side as he made his way into the room,

"I'm here to help with your studying," At the word studying I groaned overdramatically and tugged him into my room and plopped myself back on the floor, his eyes danced wildly over all of the scattered school material covering my floor,

"What subject is this for?" He asked slowly as he sat next to me,

"All of them?" It was more of a question on my part, I wasn't even sure what materials I would need for each exam so I just grabbed all of them and now I'm starting to regret it,

"Okay... What subjects are struggling with the most?" he asked sifting through the endless amount of stray papers, I thought for a second before picking up a pile of papers and putting them in his lap,

"Science," I stated as he flicked through the different science related papers.

Lloyd tried to explain the different things I would need for the exams and after an hour I still couldn't really understand anything.

I lay back and pushed the heels of my palms into my eyes to stop the ever-present feeling of frustrated tears from running down my face, I was not going to cry in front of my boyfriend, no less over something so stupid, a low growl emitted from the back of my throat as I closed my eyes and breathed out through my nose,

"I think I'm just gonna skip the exams," I sigh dejectedly before I'm being pulled into a sitting position,

"No, no! (Y/N) you are not going to miss your exams, you are so much smarter than you give yourself credit for," He sighed, "God love, have some faith in yourself," He pulled me into a hug and I lay my head heavy on his shoulder and just took him all in.

His words, his scent, his caring and kind nature, how had I gotten so damn lucky.

I pulled back and nodded my head grabbing for my pencil when he wrapped his hand around my wrist, I looked to the blond and smiled as leant in to press a sweet kiss to my lips which I happily returned, He pulled back and put his hand on my cheek,

"We're gonna take a little break from the studying," He said softly and stood up pulling me along with him, I happily fell onto my mattress as he tugged me toward it,

"You look exhausted, what did you do today?" He giggled as I curled into his side, I started to rant to Lloyd about the early start to my day, the arrogant dickheads in my maths class and the walk home with all my heavy books, with each addition I felt sleep tug at my eyelids more and more until I was sound asleep.
