Chapter Fourteen

Rye's POV

The rest of the day was alright, it was pretty boring. We all did our own stuff, Jack and Mikey went on liv.ly we decided to tell The roadies we moved. They were so happy that the flat were in now is bigger. But when ever we go live we need to be carful not to show any signs of Cass being here because then roadies will jump to conclusions.
Andy edited some videos, I was chilling on Instagram and Brooklyn and Cass were in Cass' room. Around 7:00 we decided to have a group movie night! We all went out to the living room and turned on a movie! Brooklyn wanted to watch something scary but Andy argued because we saw a scary movie last time. Andy chose fast and furious, and we all agreed. After the movie it was pretty late and we all went to bed, Brooklyn stayed with Cass again.

The Next Day
Miley's POV

Brook, Rye and Andy ran to the store, we needed to go food shopping again. Jack was in his room, I was in the living room, and Cass was doing the dishes in the kitchen. Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"I got it" Cass said and she walked to the door. At first I heard her talking to someone, I just assumed someone was selling something then the door shut but Cass didn't walk back inside. I got worried and got up. As I walked closer to the door I heard yelling so I ran out the door. An older woman, someone I've never seen before. She was yelling at Cass
"You little piece of trash! You think you can run from me! You can't leave me! " the older woman grabbed Cass' arm
"LET HER GO!" I yelled but she didn't
"Stay outa it emo" she yelled then I jumped at her, she ended up pushing Cass down the stairs
"CASS!" I yelled
The older woman ran down the stairs and out the door. Jack came running out and chased her.
"Cass, hey Cass it okay" I tell her, going on the floor beside her, holding her head. She was  bruised up, it looks like her arm is broke. She hit her head, it was bleeding... A lot. She was in and out of consciousness. I phoned the police and asked for an ambulance to come as well. Jack came back all out of breath.
"I-i lost her... Oh god that's a lot of blood" he said
"Phone the boys and Blair" I tell him and he did so
"Hey Brooklyn, you guys need to get home, like now! Cass was attacked and she's hurt pretty bad and ambulance is on its way but you gotta get here quick" he told them then hung up the phone, he then called Blair
"Come on Cass,stay with me, you can do it, just focus on the sound of my voice, it's okay" I told her. the police and paramedics showed up shortly. So did Blair, the boys were almost here. I needed to give a statement to the police.
"Can you describe her?"
"White, uh... Long dark brown hair, about 5'5..."
"Okay now explain what happened" the officer said and I did so. I just finished answering the officers questions as the boys pulled up. The boys pulled up and Brooklyn ran over to me.
"What happened!? Is that blood?! That's a lot of blood!" He frantically asked as he noticed my shirt was covered in blood
"She's in the ambulance their on the way to center state hospital, they wouldn't let us go with them because we're not family..."
"We need to go!" He said to me and we all got into the car, Blair drove. It felt like forever! But we finally got inside and Brooklyn ran to the front desk.
"Hi uhhhh Cassandra Sheldon" Brooklyn said to the lady behind the desk
"Sheldon... She's in surgery, no visitors, "
"Okay where is her room? I'll wait there for her" he says angry an worried
"She will be put into ICU after her operation, only family"
"I'm her boyfriend! She has no family!" He yells 
"I'm sorry but strictly family" she said and Brooklyn stormed out of the hospital
"I got him" Rye said and ran after him
Me and the boys sat in the waiting room while Blair tried to talk to the woman behind the desk. Andy came over to me.
"Hey buddy how you doing?" There were tears in my eyes. I was worried sick.
"Don't worry, she'll be fine" he told me
"Yeah but Andy what if she's not? What if we loose her? What if that was the last moments of her life? What if I didint  do enough to save her? If something happens to her Brooklyn... He's going to hate me! He'll never forgive me! I should have answered the door... Why didint I answer the stupid door?!" I told him. He just pulled me to his chest and held me like he was about to loose me.
"Don't... You can't talk like that, Mike, it's not your fault, you did all you could've" he reassured me.

Rye POV
I ran outside to see where Brooklyn went, he was sat in the ground leaning against the wall of the hospital. I walked over to him and sat beside him.
"How could they..." His voice was trembling "I told them she has no family, how could they keep us from her, how could they do that!? We are her family! They have no right... It's- it's not fair" he started crying I pulled him into my chest. I heard him.
"Shh... She's gonna be alright I promise! She's so strong! You know that, she can over come this" I Reassure him. Jack comes over to us. "She's out of surgery"
Brooklyn jumped up and ran inside to the boys. Jack stayed and walked with me
"What even happened?" I asked Jack
"I don't even know, I heard yelling so I came to the staircase, next thing I know I see Cass falling down the stairs, a lady running out the door, Mikey went to Cass so I chased the lady... But I lost her..." He shook his head
"Goddamnit I lost her" he said getting mad at himself I patted him on the back As we made our way inside. Everyone was in the waiting room, even Blair.
"The lady at the front desk said she will talk to her manager and see what she can do" Blair filled us in and we all took seats. Andy was holding Mikey who was crying. Brook had his hands in his lap clearly crying. Jack was mad at himself and paced around the room. I sat next to Blair. The doctor came into the waiting room. And everyone stood up
"You guys are hear for Cassandra Sheldon correct?" He asked
"Yes that is us." Blair answers like the dad he was
"Okay as of right now Cassandra is under critical condition, so she is not aloud any visitors, however because you said yous are the closest thing she has to a family I can fill you guys in on her condition if you would like that"
"Yes, that would be great" Blair said for us all
"Okay well like I said Cassandra is in critical condition. She has three broken ribs, along with her left arm, she has minor bruising and a few cuts" the doctor spoke we were al silent
Mikey looks up from the floor to the doctor "And h-her head? How's her head?"
"Well, you guys might wanna have a seat for this next part" he told us and we all sat down in a row waiting for him to continue.
