Chapter 3

Rustle-Rustle...

"That should do it." 

Donnie and Ginger are inside his lab, her leg now patched completely.

"Thank you, Donatello."

"It's just Donnie."

"Sorry, it's a habit of mine."

"Don't be silly," he chuckles, "your politeness is very appreciated."

"I'll try to talk more casual around you guys."

"Can you stand?" 

Donnie helps her up, as she moves her leg a bit.

"It stings, but I should manage."

"Just to be safe, I'll contact Casey and tell him you're here." 

Ginger waves as she exits his lab and into the living room. Just then, she sees Mikey running towards her.

"You're alive~!" 

Before he could tackle her, Ginger uses her good foot to pirouette and dodge him. 

SKID!

"Ah!"

She loses her footing as she slips on a ledge. 

GLOMP!

That's when Leo catches her from behind, making her look up at him.

"Um, sorry," she shyly smiles.

"Ahaha...nice footwork. Ballet lessons?"

"Sort of..." 

Ginger stands up and dusts herself.

"How's your leg?"

"Good." 

Leo then notices Forrest climbing on top of his shell and perches himself there.

"He likes you." 

They smile at the marten as Leo scratches his chin.

"Okay Ginger," Donnie appears, "I told him, and he says one of us can take you home later."

"I think I can manage by myself," she implies.

"Better safe than sorry."

"Sigh~ Casey's always worrying about me." 

She walks towards the couch.

"If I remember, he was always like....'Ginger, don't touch this, stay away from that...Autumn you're not allowed to date boys until you're thirty'." 

PLOP!

Ginger groans while landing on the cushion. 

"For someone who's soft-spoken, I could hear the sass in that tone," Raph smirks.

"Haha...yeah...but I really should go, now."

"Want us to escort you," Donnie asked.

"No thanks. I know my way." Forrest jumps onto her shoulder.

"You do," Mikey questions.

"By smell and sounds, y'know, intuition and that. I'll come visit when I can."

"See you around."

"Farewell..." 

She bows, before walking through the exit tunnel. When out of sight, Leo turns to Donnie.
