Chapter 2: Store of dust

After hours of running and tracking I finally found what I think people called a city it was strange yet beautiful. After I stopped gazing in amazement I realized I lost the scent of the person I was tracking which means my job will be a lot harder. I decided to take to the roofs of the buildings? These people have strange names for things. I continued jumping and scouting for the people in white masks. As I did this my instincts told me to go in a certain detection which I followed for they have nearly always lead me to what I need to find.

*time skip*

It has been hard trying to sneak and run on the top of these buildings, not to mention I'm just doing all of this on instinct and have no actual lead. Just as I was starting to lose hope I spotted strange looking men inside of a building aiming weapons at a man behind a table. Even though they weren't wearing mask I had a feeling they were with them. I jumped off the building I was on and headed straight towards the theirs.

*Ruby pov*

Ruby:*thinking* I wonder if I should get yang anything.

I felt someone tapping on my shoulder rather roughly. I turned to face him an took out my ear buds.

Ruby: yes?

The guy aims his gun at her.

Guy: get on the ground!

Ruby:are you robbing me?

Guy: yes.

Ruby: oh.

I quickly knock him back slamming him into a wall making a crater in it. My attention turns towards a man with red hair.

???: well looks like little red got some fight in her. Get her boys!

I get in my fighting stance as they do the same. Just as it was about to start all of are attention turns to the noise of a shattered window, we all turn to what I can guess is rather a new grimm or a awesome looking guy in bone armor.

*(y/n) pov*

I was out side the building thinking of how I should sneak in, but during my observation I say a man yell at the hooded girl.

(Y/n): that is not how you treat people.

I said to myself, obviously this man has never been taught respect for if I were to do that at home my mother and father would beat me to a pulp. I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw him aim his gun at her. I tried to go in quicker but people started walking down the solid road. Once they were out of sight I busted through the the strange clear solid material, I'll have to learn what that is later but for now I'll focus on my enemy's. I stand up tall to frighten them which seem to work on them. One however a red haired male kept his calm but that wouldn't trick me I could smell his fear, he spoke up.

???: who the hell are you?

I hated the fact that I had to speak in his tongue sense it was difficult. I didn't want to keep him waiting but I'm not giving him my true name. I decided to go with a nickname that I've heard one of the people in white mask say to a person that had learned the art of fire...

(Y/n):...pyro...yours?

Roman Torchwick: well sense you won't live long to remember it, it's Roman Torchwick. Now men attack.

His men look at him like he was crazy but began firing their guns at me. I quickly formed my shield-

causing there bullets to ricochet back at them. I saw one of them aiming at the girl who was to busy looking at me awestruck,I quickly move in front of her and made my shield larger to fully protect us. After his men finished there clips they feel to the ground riddled with holes from there own bullets. Roman realised the situation he was in and ran to the roof to escape. I turned to the girl and shook her out of her trance.

(Y/n): we stop him.

She nodded and I grabbed her hand and quickly rushed to the roof. I saw roman climb aboard a flying beast. I've seen these before the beast carries people in and on it then let's them out at different locations. However I wasn't gonna let that stop me. I quickly ran and jumped on it and began ripping off peaces of it.the I saw him looking at me from over the edge he aimed a thin object at me, I realised what it was so before he got the chance I jumped off. Time slowed down for me as I formed a spear and chucked it at him hitting him in the shoulder. Then time went back to normal and I landed on the same building I jump off of.

Roman: SON OF A BITCH!

I heard him yell making me smile at his pain. The girl helped me up and we both hear a voice from behind us.

???: stand aside kids let the professional deal with this.

She was also a female and she began launching magic at the ship but sadly didn't bring it down. Red as I'll call her ran to the woman and began speaking extremely fast.

Red:OHMYGODAREYOUAHUNTRESS!?

???: um why yes I am and if it were up to me I'd sent both of you home with a pat on the back.

I started walking away, I needed to regain my strength at least now I think I know who I should be chasing. I was suddenly trapped within a bubble.

???:where do you think your going?

(Y/n): home...now...let...go.

???:I'm afraid I can't do that.your coming with me.

As I am weak I still have enough power for a few more tricks. I popped the bubble by using my magic to light my body to extreme temperatures,this must of surprised her jugging from her facial expression. I then formed a blinding light in my hand and threw it at both her and red. It doesn't hurt but it dose cause temporary blindness. I took this time to quickly escape jumping from building to building until I finally reached the forest. I felt as if I would be seeing red again soon but now is not the time to worry about that I need rest as I found a place to sleep one thing kept bothering me, why was roman there all that was in that building was colored dust, as I finally drifted off into sleep I thought to my self.

All it was, was a store of dust.
