"Um...um...um..." I stutter.

"Yes, you know some people can have other religions!" I exclaim, grateful the idea popped in my head.

"Oh, cool. What's your religion?" He just had to ask that.

"Um....um...um...." I wince. "Hey, you know there's this really cool pizza place not far down the street, right? I should totally buy you pizza from there as an apology."

"Stop changing the subject." He says, playfulness glimmering in his eyes. Those eyes can kill.

Blushing, I look down at the ground. I notice a small, venomous caterpillar and I crush it with my foot, spreading the dust out. He's mortal, he wouldn't have seen that.

"That's what I thought. It's a good thing you spread the dust, lately a lot of them have been resurrecting, even if it's a small monster. I'm Connor," he says, offering a hand to shake. I gratefully take it.

"I'm Sadie."

"And I'm Anubis." Jackal Head butts in, pushing in front of me. Aww, Jackal Head is so cute when he's jealous.

"So, Camp Half Blood or Camp Jupiter?" Connor casually questions.

Anubis and I look at each other and shrug. "What?"

"Camp Half Blood. You know, where demigods such as yourself go..." He trails off.

"Demigod? I'm not a demigod. I'm Sadie Kane, host of Isis and daughter of Osiris. Technically, I'm not a demigod. It's a long story."

"Osiris...? Like, Egyptian?"

I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes.

"Yes, what other than Egyptian?"

"Grecian...?"

Grecian.

All three of us freeze and share glances. Connor slowly nods, as if finally understanding something. "Right. I think we need to get you to Camp Half Blood."
