Sanubis I: Finding Success *EDITING IN PROGRESS*

*Chapter 11*

"Anubis, put me down right this instant!" I squealed. He had thrown me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. We were walking into the entrance to camp half blood, and the trip had gone pretty good. Almost no monsters. "Never!" He said, tightening his grip around me.

"Always!" I managed. "I think Ms.Kane would appreciate it if you put her down." Nico said with a smirk. He walked over to greet us. "We are playing capture the flag in a few hours. Wanna join?" I nodded as Anubis set me down.

Nico led us to his cabin. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Eat. A lot. I was starving. Anubis held the door open for me and we walked in. I have the perfect boyfriend. We walked in and I flopped on the bed. Anubis flopped onto a bed beside me and turned on the T.V. I forgot. He's a god, he doesn't need sleep. "Wow, someone's tired." Commented Nico. I didn't respond because I was already falling asleep.

I woke up to Anubis sitting in a chair, his intense brown eyes looking at me. "Good morning, sleeping beauty." He smirked. "How long have I been asleep?" I yawned. "It's 11AM." He replied. Oh. "When does capture the flag start?" I asked. His lips curved up in a smile and he said "It started yesterday. You slept through the night and the day. I hope your fully refreshed." Woah. I slept that long? Dang. I was starving.

"Lunch is about to start." He said. I got up. I still had my combat boots on. "How many minutes?" "Enough for you to shower and change." He knew exactly why I was asking that.

After my shower, I put on a muscle "New York" white muscle shirt. The letters were arranged in a fashion around the Empire State Building with the Statue of Liberty faded behind it. Along with that, I put on blue jean shorts, combat boots (big shocker), and threw my hair up in a messy bun, and topped off the outfit with black aviator sunglasses.

Anubis and I walked hand in hand to the mess hall, when I was tackled from behind by someone. Well, two someones. I turned around to see Conner and Travis Stoll.

"Where have you been?!" They screamed. "We had no one to prank! Everyone already knows all of our pranks!" Wailed Travis. "A quest." Said Anubis, yanking off a 'Kick Me' sign off my back. I thought it was odd they hugged me.

Conner muttered a curse under his breath when Anubis pulled off the sign, and they moved on to another victim. "Always nice to see the Stoll twins!" Joked someone behind us. I turned around to see Annabeth and a cluster of blond haired gray eyed children behind her.

I ran up to give Annabeth a hug. She hugged me back and whispered something. "We'll talk later." I nodded and walked back over to Anubis.

When we finished lunch, we did activities. Canoeing, hiking, training. By dinner time we were exhausted! After dinner, we went back to the cabin and I passed out. Anubis plopped down on his bed and started watching NCIS.

The week had gone by fast. Pretty soon, it was Friday, and we had to start packing. It wasn't a lot to pack.

Before we knew it, we were already in manhattan, greeted by a streetful of cheering magicians and minor gods. I saw a few holding hands. I was glad to know I wasn't the only one dating a god.

Bast ran up and tackled me. "You did it, Sadie. I knew you would." She whispered in my ear. Suddenly, a huge shadow loomed over the street (the mortals were told to evacuate) and everything was dark. I heard a screeching and smelled an awful raw turkey smell.
