It's your first day at the high school in Forks. Your family has just moved to town, and you're nervous about a new school.
Thankfully, the morning goes by without anything going badly. You've met a few of the other kids, and you just try to stay out of everyone's way. So at lunch, you don't know where you should sit. The kids here seem friendly, and someone would probably let you sit at a table with them, but you don't know where to go or who to ask.
"Hi. Are you new?"
"Um, yeah," you answer. A small girl with a pixie cut and a nice smile has just approached you. "I'm Y/N. It's my first day."
"Well, welcome. I'm Alice. Were you looking for a place to sit?"
"Yeah, I-I don't really know anyone yet."
"Oh, don't worry. You'll get to know everyone," she says. "Why don't you come sit with me? There's an empty table by the window."
"Oh. Um, sure," you say, surprised by the offer, given that you literally just met. "Let's go."
That was how you met Alice Cullen.

With Alice, the school year flies by fast. You look forward to seeing her every day at school, to see her whenever you can. You get to know each other well, and she even entrusts you with her biggest secret.
Over the course of a year, you meet each other's families, have lunch together every school day, celebrate holidays together, and begin to fall in love.
On the last day of the school year before summer break, you ask her, "We can get together over the summer, can't we?"
"Of course. All the time. I want to see you as much as possible." Alice looks around. "You know, this is exactly how it was in my vision."
"Which one?" you ask. You know Alice has a lot of visions of the future, and you're not sure which one she means.
"A few weeks before the school year started," she begins, "I had a vision of you."
You raise your eyebrows. "Of me?"
"Yes. It was of today, the two of us here together. I knew that I was supposed to meet you on the first day of school, become close, and end up here."
"Wow. So...we were...meant to know each other? Um, so, what were we doing here in your vision?"
She smiles. "This." She tilts her head up to kiss you.
