 "Hey, honey, I'm home!"

 You let out a sigh of relief and finally smile when you hear Scott come through the door. It's about time he got back.

 "You're back." You run to the front door and wrap your arms around him.

 "Of course I'm back." He lifts you up and twirls you around. "You didn't think I was never coming home, did you?"

 "How would I know?" you ask. "You didn't call or text me once while you were gone, and I saw on the news that there was a bunch of chaos downtown having to do with you."

 "Oh, that. Yeah, um...things got a little out of hand there. But everything's taken care of, I promise," he adds quickly. "There are no more problems. Well, at least not for now, anyway."

 You sigh. "Okay. Just...text me next time, all right? I was worried about you."

 He nods, and kisses you. "I definitely will."

 A while later, the two of you curl up on the sofa together after dinner. Scott seems tired after being out for so long, so you don't try to make any conversation at first. You knew when you began your relationship with him that he was going to have to spend a lot of time away being Ant-Man.

 "So, everything's good now?" he asks, looking down at you.

 You nod. "Yeah. I was mad at you for not letting me know you were okay sooner, but I'll forgive you since you are technically a hero."

 He shrugs. "Well...I guess I have come a pretty long way from being in prison, haven't I?"

 "Yes, I think you have. I didn't know you then, but you've clearly come a long way since then. You are a hero now, Scott. A former criminal, yes, but a hero."

 "Aw." He kisses you again. "You always did say the sweetest things. But I'm actually kind of worn out. I think I'm just gonna take a shower and go to bed."

 "Okay. I'll probably be up soon."

 You really have fallen in love with Scott, you think as you watch him leave the room. When you first met him, he had just become Ant-Man and had his life changed completely. It doesn't make a difference to you what he did in his past, but you're in love with the man he is now.
