You have been waiting this moment, waiting since Jonathan's body was recovered by Lilith. The time is coming for him to be resurrected, and you have been waiting as patiently as you can for the time to come when you can talk to him again.
Lilith has told you to be patient-"his time will come," she tells you-and you have been. You've waited for him, and you know his time is coming soon.
You saw something in Jonathan from the beginning. You were drawn to him like you've never been drawn to anyone before. You love him, and his death broke your heart. But you know you won't have to live with heartache for much longer.
You let Lilith take you under the wing in the meantime. She thinks of Jonathan as her own child, and is determined to resurrect him. You know she means it when you look into her eyes.
"We will see him again," she tells you. "I will bring him back."
You count the days, the weeks, just waiting. Waiting and making plans.
You think back to the times you did have with Jonathan, how determined he always was and how you loved his determination. You loved pretty much everything about him, even if he didn't believe you did.
"Why, Y/N?" he had asked. "Why do you stay with me? Why do insist on being so close to me? I don't know if I'm even worth all the trouble."
"Don't say that," you had replied. "I love you, Jonathan. You should know by now that I love you."
He didn't seem like he truly believed everything you said, but it was obvious that he wanted it to be true.
While you wait, there are plans going through your head. The Shadowhunters were the reason why Jonathan died. It was their fault. You want to kill all of them, every single one involved.
When Jonathan is resurrected, the two of you will be reunited, and then you can stop the Shadowhunterws together.
Until then, you wait.
