The sun was just peeking through the trees as my coffee resting on the porch railing with a trail of steam floating up into the cool, autumn sky.

My phone beeped from my pocket as I pulled it out to see her number.

I shook my head as I ignored the call.

There was another beep.

Another message from her.

I shook my head as I then saw the message.

when are you coming home...i need you

My eyes narrowed when the next text came through.

i should have listened to you

I unlocked my phone as I called Leigh.

"Aren't you on vacation with him right now?"

"Where is Mia?"

"Don't give a shit."

"She just texted me saying that she should have listened to me."

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

"Call her and see where she is."

"Are you ok?"

"We know what he did to Stephen. He isn't going to hurt her."

"Does Jensen know what he did to Stephen?"

"No, I haven't told him about that yet. I am sure that once he knows he isn't going to be happy."

"I will text you with what is going on with Mia."

"Thank you Leigh."

I placed my phone on the railing when I heard something behind me.

"You are up early." Jensen said with a husky voice as he stepped out behind me.

"I just needed to get some fresh air after last night."

"Yea, last night was a little bit of a blur for me." Jensen grinned back at me.

"Can't remember it?" I smiled back at him.

"Not much of it."

I laughed back at him when I saw the blocked number coming through. I ignored the call as Jensen took a sip of my coffee, "Do you want to get dressed and get some breakfast?"

"That sounds perfect to me." Jensen leaned over kissing me on the neck.

I looked back out over the railing down at the trees below me as the phone went off again.

"Hello." I said into the phone.

"Ignoring my calls?"

"Trying to." I glanced over my shoulder as Jensen was heading over to the bedroom.

"Mia saw him last night."

"Saw who?"

"You know who."

"That shouldn't be my problem Jared."

"It will be because I didn't attack Stephen."

"Does it matter?"

"It does because that shit can get me hurt."

"Again, not my problem."

"Victoria just listen to me."

"Why?"

"If you want things to smooth out then maybe."

"If I want them to smooth out? I didn't start this!"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Trying to blackmail me is only going to hurt you." I snapped back.

"Again, are you sure about that?"

I shook my head as I ended the call.

I glanced back as Jensen was coming out of the bathroom.

"Hey Victoria."

"Stephen, something isn't right."

"Yea, I figured that when you called me."

"Any way you can get Leigh and get out of Vancouver?"

"Yea, I will head out now."

I looked up as Jensen was waiting for me, "Are you ready to go?"

I smiled as I pushed my phone into my pocket.
