Hey guys! So I recently got the stomach flu, so I'm staying home from school. Hopefully I will be well enough to write another chapter. So, you very special people will get another chapter. ;)

"What do you think he's going to do if she doesn't wake up?" a voice questioned. I could hear everything. I tried to open my eyes. They wouldn't budge from their droopy state.

"Don't worry, he isn't going to kill her," someone assured.

"How do you know?"

"She told me we died differently. If it doesn't happen that way, then something is wrong."

"Who told you we died differently?" the voice asked.

"The girl in the walls. Olivia," the voice replied.

Come on, I urged my body. Wake up.

"She's not real, Ella."

"Yes, she is!" Ella screamed. I recognized the girls voices.

"If it wasn't for you, Alana would have not of gotten a concussion!" I could now tell it was Gabby.

"If it wasn't for you, maybe Alana would have gotten out of here, and maybe Jenna wouldn't have died!"

Silence.

"You knew she'd die and you didn't even say anything!" Gabby cried.

I shot up slowly. I looked at the two that were in front of me.

"Gabby, what happened?" I asked, glancing at Ella. Tears swelled in my eyes. Everything was so confusing.

"Nothing, I-" she got tears in her eyes as well.

"Gabby. Tell me."

"Jenna... Jenna was shot," Gabby said, her eyes focused on the floor.

"Where is she? I need to see her. Maybe she is up," I pushed myself off the ground. I fell back down. I immediately had a terrible sensation in my stomach.
I still was focused on Gabby. What was she not telling me?

"Alana, stay down for a while," Gabby whispered.

"I want to see Jenna!" I told her.

"Jenna isn't alive," she cried.

"You're kidding, please, why can't I see her?" I asked. Why wouldn't she? Jenna survived just as much as I did.

"Jenna is dead!" Gabby screamed.

"Stop it! Stop lying to me!" I yelled.

"Alana," Ella grabbed my arm,"Please, listen to Gabby."

Ella changed so much. Before, all she would do was stare at me.
I ripped her hand from my arm. She backed away.

Gabby breathed in.

"Jenna was shot. Thalia told Jason that you two were planning to escape, and he s-shot you, and Jenna," Gabby explained.

"But I'm alive, and so is Jenna," I told her.

"No, no, Alana, bare with me here," Gabby said, her lip shaking.

"What am I not understanding!" I asked.

"Jenna. Is. Dead!" Gabby screamed.

Dead.

Jenna is dead.

I closed my eyes. I started crying. That terrible sensation in my stomach got the best of me as I started throwing up. I was choking and trying my hardest to breath when Gabby said something.

"I'm so sorry, Alana. She was my best friend, too," she weeped.

I tried getting up to see where I was, but fell back down. Looking at my legs, I gasped.

"Alana, calm down, just let me explain," Gabby told me.

But I couldn't bare it. I screamed as hard as I could, my cries filling the room I was in.

My left leg, just over my knee, was amputated. White gauze wrapped around the blood.

"Gabby, please, please what happened," I cried.

"He shot you in the leg, twice," Gabby whimpered.

"And you guys just watched?" I asked angrily.

"No, it wasn't like that. We were so shocked-"

"But you guys still didn't help!" I yelled.

"Ala-"

"Leave me alone!" I bellowed.

Gabby pushed up to stand, and walked away. Ella did the same, but she looked back.

"You've been in a coma, for a few days," Ella said.

"I don't care," I cried, closing my eyes.

Why is it always me? Why can't the other take the pain?

Why did Jenna have to die?
