Zach's pov

I curled up in the corner of my cage watching hybrids walk around looking at humans. After the hybrids won the war humans became pets and property human were something to display or put to work. I curled up more when I saw a certain hybrid enter the shop Jonah Marais, Jonah was the hybrid king basically. Now there we're hybrids that looked way stronger but jonah was special. Jonah was part tiger AND wolf he was also a vampire. Jonah  walked around it was silent I could here the whimpers of other humans. Jonah came up to my cage I backed up to the corner he looked at the laminated paper attached to on of the bars. He read out loud "zach herron age sixteen been here a year,  shy trained for cooking and company" I curled up tightly. Jonah looked right into my eyes I whimpered I knew I had a good chance of being picked. I was the best trained most behaved and cutest or we'll everyone calls me cute so I'm guessing I'm the cutest. Jonah spoke "front of the cage now" I hesitantly scooted closer jonah smirked I whimpered. Jonah spoke "your a young little thing" I gulped jonah turned and spoke "I'd like this one" he got out a stack of cash the guy that owned the place came over jonah handed him the cash. The guys eyes went wide jonah spoke "keep the change now I want him in a simple outfit and a black collar" the store owner shook his head yes.

Some time later

Jonah buckled my seat belt we were a black limousine jonah sat across from me. Jonah asked "so got any special skills?" I shrugged and said "n-not really i-I'm j-just good at
c-cooking" jonah added "and sttudering" I blushed when the car stoped I tensed we both got out of the car. Jonah took me inside I looked around the place was massive jonah spoke "come on I'll show you your room first them you can explore" jonah took me upstairs. Jonah took me into a room my eyes went wide jonah spoke "you humans love cute things so walls nice light blue and fluffy white carpet" I took my shoes off not wanting to dirty the carpet. Jonah's continued "on the left big stuffed animals on the right smaller ones the bed has fluffy blankets the TV has an Xbox one so you can watch youtube or Netflix" holy cow. Jonah continued "ok that's your room you can look around you can explore the house whenever you want just don't explore when it's late" jonah left shutting the door behind himself. I immediate went over to the bed I grabbed a bigg stuffed bear I layed down I curled up with the bear. I slightly smiled it was warm I liked it when it was warm I've never been a fan of the cold. I cuddled with the giant stuffed bear I slowly fell asleep.

A long time later

I felt someone shaking me i stretched and let out a quite squeaking noise. I looked I saw jonah he spoke "did you explore the house?" I shook my head no. Jonah's eyes flashed red. He spoke "sweet pea it's said not to wait till it was late it's six o'clock" I spoke
"I'm sorry" jonah sighed. Jonah spoke "get up and explore" I quickly got up I left my room. I looked around not knowing were to start why was he so mad about that. I looked into a random room it looked like a gaming room. I found mainly just guest rooms I went downstairs I found a home theater. I went into a room it was similar to mine but instead of stuffed animals their we're different blankets books with pictures of cute animals. It was somehow cuter than my room. I need to figure this guy out I heard jonah's deep voice "this is a room to calm down in soft blankets for napping cute pictures if your stressed or sad' hopefully you won't this room alot" I jumped a little. I left the room jonah spoke "were having spaghetti for dinner" I spoke "oh that's easy to make it know a gr-" jonah cut me off his voice lower than normal "I didn't mean that by your making it" I flinched. Jonah walked away ok I REALLY need to figure this out. I found a locked door must be his room I went into the kitchen I saw jonah cooking a nice looking cookbook on a stand opened to a page. I asked "do you need help?" Jonah spoke his voice soft and gentle "no sweet pea" this is getting weird I wanted to ask some stuff but I was to scared. I tested something I asked
"c-can I got to my room?" Jonah immediately smiled he spoke "of course sweet pea just be down here at seven ok?" I spoke "ok" i went to my room. I sat down on my bed I turned on the Xbox I made sure I was gonna be late to dinner.
