Chapter 28

Sky's pov
I didn't feel like waking up today. After what happened yesterday I didn't have the strength to even get up from bed. I was scared today was going to be a bad day, with Ryan's weird attitude. But I still couldn't put my finger to it, what could have possibly happened? Nobody changes over night, not without a reason. I didn't want to go to work so I texted Ryan

Me- Not going to work today..

Ryan- Fine by me

I felt my heart ache as I read over the text. He didn't even ask why or if I was okay.... I was sick and tired of this, I had it! I finally convinced myself to get up from bed. I changed into a outfit and head to Ryan's small office.

Since Ryan was at work, I had a lot of time. I start by his bookshelves, finding any documents that can give me a answer. Nothing. Not even one single document, just books. I was getting more and more frustrated. I then opened the cabinet and find a box. I grab it and place it on the desk. I open the box and there's was a newspaper covered by two documents. I pick up the newspaper and read:

BILLIONAIRE WILL PARKER SUFFERS A MAJOR ACCIDENT

Billionaire Will Parker has a terrible accident! His 7 year old son Ryan Parker was the only survivor, some of us still question what could of caused this terrible accident...

I couldn't believe it! Ryan was the only survivor, that means his dad died. But why would he keep the newspaper? Or not have at least one picture of him? So many questions I had in my head, so many guesses yet they don't make sense. Does his mother have something to do with this? Ryan must have been through a lot for a 7 year old, I couldn't imagine him all alone.It explains why he's known as a ruthless person, he's traumatize. I don't know if I should ask Ryan about this. I don't want him thinking I'm being nosy, or anger him even more. But at the same time I wanted to know, maybe that's the reason he's acting all distant with me. I'm gonna do it. When he comes home I'm going to confront him. Actually I'm just gonna go to his office, I can't wait any longer. I grab the newspaper and documents and place them in my purse and head towards my car. I dash to the company hoping he isn't busy,I greet Sarah quickly

"Hey Sarah is it fine if I see Ryan?"

"Well dear he's not busy but I need to tell you something before-"

I didn't let her finish as I run to his office. I hear noises and stop, I slowly grab the handle and open the door quick. And I couldn't believe eyes what I was seeing. How could he? There he was. Making out with a girl, she was sitting on his lap while she pulled his hair as he groan. He has his arms wrapped around her and her blouse is open revealing her bra. I was shattered. They notice the door open and she gets off his lap. Ryan looks at me as he smirks at me

"R-Ryan h-how could you!!!"

"Its how it has to be Skylar"

"But why?"

"Skylar I'll like you to meet Laura. My fiancé"

"Fiancé? How long Ryan? HOW LONG!!?"

"Actually since yesterday so I want you out my house and my life."

"Don't worry I'll do with pleasure"

"Good and since we're here I want to be honest with you Skylar, you were nothing to me, you kiss horrible and just by looking at you makes me wanna throw up"

I couldn't take it anymore!! I went up to Ryan, as I was about to slap him he grabbed my arm

"Don't you lay a finger on me Skylar"

He pushes my arm back and slaps me hard across the face. I look up at him and his eyes show little guilt, Laura smiled as if she was enjoying it. The last words he says broke me officially

"I hate you Skylar, I always had and I always will"

I run out the office with tears falling down. I exit the building and hear footsteps behind me, I look back and it's Ryan. I cross the street and hear a honking of a car. I turn and the car hits me sending me to fall hard to the ground. The last thing I hear was Ryan calling my name before I reach the darkness.
