Next Day » Mr. Stanley's Class

"Hello, Shannon," I say as Shannon walks over to our table. "Hello, Jeydon," she replies, "how are you?"

"Good, you?" I reply. "I'm great! I have girlfriend, I'm trying to get one of my friends in a relationship, and I'm seeing a Blink-182 concert in a few weeks," she explains.

"Wow. I'm just happy because the walk to school this morning was nice," I reply. "We're very different," she sighs, "but, you will be happy for another reason soon."

"What is it?" I ask, "I'm starting to hate surprises. Tell me!"

"No," she replies, "but it is big."

"As big as the whole Dahvie and Jayy drama?"

"Definitely," she replies, "well, maybe not. Just depends on what you see as a 'big event.'"

"Oh," I say. I see anything life changing as a big event. Such as a new relationship, whether it be a new friend, family member, pet, or significant other/partner.

For example, in first grade, I thought my goldfish's death was big event. His name was Oliver. I still miss him a little. And I'm in ninth grade!

"So, anyways, did you finish your math homework?" Shannon asks.

"I don't think I had any," I reply, "but if I did, I'm sure it's finished."

"Good, because Mr. Simmons is taking that up as an assessment grade today," Shannon says.

"That's messed up! It's just homework!" I exclaim.

"I know, but with this new grading system, he has to take up more assessment grades so we can get passing grades. Hopefully I won't have a C this quarter," Shannon explains.

"Maybe not," I reply.

I look towards the door and I see Jordan, Johnnie, and Kyle entering the classroom. Maybe I can rekindle my friendship with Kyle and Johnnie. I need more friends! Whether they be new or old!

"Hey, you might wanna talk to Jordan later," Shannon says.

"Okay?" I reply. I wonder if that's good news. I bet it is! Maybe that's what the 'big event' is! Jordan is going to ask me out! I'll definitely say "yes!"

Wait, what if I can't force the word or words out? Then, I'll embarrass myself! And Jordan will think I don't like/love him in return!

Wait, Jeydon, calm down. Don't freak yourself out over nothing. This will go well, believe in yourself.

I just have to believe in myself. It looks like the single squad is about to be put on hold for awhile.

(A/N: I hope all my American readers had a good Thanksgiving! I did! Bye for now!)
