At Least it Only Leaves When You've Used it Up

I know what it's like to be in love.
It's not materialistic.
It isn't about what you have or can get.
It's more about building a foundation.
Everything you do is to keep that asset growing.
Love is about compromising the things you want, for the things you need.
Love takes time and care before you see progress.
Love can leave you if you don't protect it,
if you don't nurture it a thousand times over with a careful eye.
Of course I know what love is,
after all, I have a bank account.
