SURPRISE!

Some of you might not know this but exactly one year ago (Jan. 15, 2017) I published the very first chapter to this story and I'm celebrating it by adding a bonus chapter! It is also my way of saying thank you for all the love PT has been getting and all the joy and wonderful people that this story has brought into my life.

And I have more exciting news...

Are you ready?

I'm writing another Hamdan fanfic!

Some readers have been suggesting it for a while and at first I was very against it, because I love this story so much and felt like I would be betraying Sarah, lol! But inspiration came to me and I'm loving the new idea I have.

Now, all I need is your patience because I don't know exactly when I will start writing the new fanfic. Right now, I'm translating PT to Spanish and also editing PT at the same time. I'm also writing book 2 of my Sempiternal Series (It would mean to world to me if you gave those stories a chance!) So, stay tuned for more updates!

Happy reading!

XOXO,

Sophie.

Sarah was staring at the positive pregnancy test she was holding. It was the fourth one she had taken that day since Hamdan left early in the morning, and she decided to take that last one after laying Fatima down to sleep and before her husband came home.

She set the test down on the bathroom counter along with the rest. Three had two lines and one of them had the word pregnant on the tiny screen. She looked at her reflection on the mirror, face fresh, long braided hair to the side resting over the slim strap of the top of her pajama ensemble, wishing she could be more excited with the unexpected news.

She heard the bedroom door being opened and Hamdan's voice resonated all the way to the bathroom. Fastly, she opened one of her drawers and shoved all the pregnancy tests in it. Hamdan continued to talk, he was surely on the phone and she exhaled before following his voice to the walk-in closet.

Sarah leaned against the door frame and observed him; he was sitting on the chaise lounge chair, facing away from her, his white kandura stretching over his back as he was hunching forward. He took his prayer cap off, left it by his side and scratched his head.

The conversation was coming to an end, sounded like it was going to be busy again the next day. He hanged up, left the phone on the chair over the cap and stood up, turning around and finally noticing her.

"Hi, beautiful." He smiled, walking towards her.

"Hi." She replied, after exchanging a peck on the lips. "Did you see Fatima?"

"I did. She looked so big to me..." He sighed, undoing the buttons of his kandura. "I can't believe she will be 18 months soon."

"One night you'll come home and she'll be off to college." Sarah teased.

Hamdan puffed and shook his head. "If she wants to go to college."

Sarah straightened up. "Excuse me?"

"Yeah. I mean..." He walked pass her, heading to the bathroom. "Not all of my sisters have gone to college and they are fine."

Sarah was surprised about how quickly the rage was making her hears burn, so she tried to keep her tone calmed when she spun around to follow him. "Our daughter is going to college, there's no choice."
