Sun glaring down with no mercy. Kayleah shoved a hat on her head, not caring if she got hat-hair because of it. Her orange hair was like a lions mane half the time anyways.

Walking into town, Kayleah wondered if anything even changed whilst she had been gone and to answer that...

Nope. Nothing has changed. At all. Still the same all boring town, that held a lot of mysteries to it.

Kayleah was happy to say, she had a good sleep and woke up feeling...Refreshed, like a new person.

It was an odd feeling to her and her hazel eyes had fallen on that wooden box high on the bookshelf.

Had she opened it? pft, No.

It just felt like the time wasn't right... yet. Kayleah shrugged at that thought and kept walking.

Grandma Emma had always been into that spiritual stuff and the "follow your instincts. They will guide you", Quotes.

Kayleah never believed in that stuff. Until now. That awakening feeling of the universe telling you that something will change soon, kept becoming stronger and Kayleah couldn't help, but fight it all the way.

Change is scary and she is not good with change.

Eyes drifting about, the one and only highschool in this town came into her view. Kayleah knew Jack would be there since it was a weekday and only just hitting 10am.

That reminded her. She had the Darbys dinner to go to at 5. That left her like 7 hours to waste...

"Great.", She grumbled, posture slumping, "7 hours to waste in a town that even the trees look bored."

Spinning about, Kayleah looked at that large rock mountain in the distance, which you could easily reach with a vehicle in 15 minutes or less.

Pursing her lips, she wondered if it was a good idea to go exploring, outside of town.

"I don't have a car.", she voiced to herself. Looking about for a place that rents vehicles. "-and I don't think anyone rents any here Kayleah.".
