Clove, Katniss, Foxface and Rue

Rue 7 (Chapter 28)

I sit with Clove in the tree. Her body is limp and she can not move. I feel bad for her. How could this happen? I have a conversation with Katniss when she gets back.

“Do you think Finch tried to save herself?" I ask Katniss.

“Yes." She says.

“I wish she didn't have to die."

“I know."

“Do you think she is a nice person?"

“Yes."

“Would you have killed her?"

“For greed? No. What about you?"

“No way." I say. “Never."

“I wish this never happened."

“I know." I say. “Me too."

“If we won the rebellion."

“Yeah. It would be great."

“I wish it were true."

“What if the districts rebelled again?"

“I would want that."

“Only if we won."

“Panem is cruel." Katniss says.

“Yes it is."

“Time to sleep."

“Okay."

“Night Rue."

“Night Katniss."

I can not sleep but, when I do it is haunted with nightmares.
