When I was little I never thought about DNA tests
And it never occurred to me that I might need one,
Perhaps stupidly, I thought I was told the minimal truth.
I wasn't told anything real at all.I thought I had a name,
But all I have is the DNA inside me:
Pointless.
I never thought about the tests because if you have a name,
Why would you need them?
I never thought about family tracers,
Because if you have enough to know their name,
Can't you just look?
I looked, I found out it was a lie
And now I don't have anything left to look for.
Family finders are for people who know something,
What about the people who really need to find out,
Because they have nothing about that person at all?28/12/17
