"Lauren, be sure to be respectful! And Y/N, please don't hesitate to call if you need anything. She can be a handful sometimes, but we love her. Also, if you don't want her being crazy I suggest you don't give her junk food or anything sugary. That makes her even more crazy." Clara rambled on about taking care of Lauren and I couldn't help but chuckle at the older woman. Lauren was running around the front lawn, completely excited about spending the night with me. When I saw the mother about to keep going on I held my hands up and called her name out.

"Clara, it'll be okay, I promise." I placed a hand on her shoulder as I couldn't help but chuckle again. "I'll make sure she's okay and we'll be fine. I promise to call if I need to but I'm sure I can handle it. I'll let you know how she does in the morning. You don't have to worry." I smiled reassuringly as Clara sighed in defeat with a nod. Lauren squealed and ran up to me before jumping on my back. I easily caught her by the backs of her legs but Clara tried to scold the younger girl. "Clara, really. I'm okay. I can handle it."

"I'm sorry Y/N, I'm just worried." The older woman sighed while rubbing her forehead. I could feel Lauren wrap her around around my neck as her head rested on top of mine. I felt the shorter girl poke around my face which eventually elicited a grin from her mother. "I guess I'll let you girls go now, I'll try to stop worrying so much." Clara breathed out. "Just be good Lauren."

"I w-will." Lauren giggled from above me. Clara nodded and waved as I turned around with Lauren still on my back. I made my way to the car where I helped the smaller girl get down so that she could climb into the car. When she was settled I made my way to the driver's side and watched as Lauren waved at her parents frantically from the window. She yelled out her goodbyes until I pulled away from the curb so that we could head to my house. It was nerve wracking because I didn't really know what to do to make this fun for Lauren, but I was hoping that what I had planned would be enough for her to have fun. When we got out of her neighborhood, Lauren grabbed my hand so that she could play with my fingers while I drove.

"What do you say we go get some pizza and ice cream?" I asked the shorter girl next to me once we came up to a red light. Lauren looked up at me in surprise, almost as if she didn't believe me. She nodded her head erratically and I couldn't help but awe at the sight. "But shh, don't tell your mom." I placed my finger on my lips for exaggeration causing the raven haired beauty to giggle loudly. The light turned green again and I changed courses so that we could head towards the pizza parlor near my house. There was an ice cream place right next to it which was actually extremely convenient for me most of the time when I felt like eating out. When we made it to the pizza place, we got out and Lauren immediately came to my side so that she could grab my hand in hers.

I could tell she was nervous with all of the people so I squeezed her hand reassuringly. We entered the pizza parlor where we were greeted by a server. I felt Lauren grip onto my arm while stepping almost completely behind me. I smiled at the server as she asked if we wanted a table. "No thank you, I just wanted to order for carryout and we can pick it up later when it's done." I informed her and she nodded her head. She led us to the front counter where we ordered whatever pizza we wanted. I turned to face a timid Lauren who surveyed her surroundings with wide eyes. "What kind of pizza do you want?" I asked softly, catching her attention.

"P-P-Pepperoni and e-extra ch-cheese." She stuttered out nervously. I nodded with a smile before turning around to order exactly what she wanted. When the order was in, they gave us the time it would be ready before I led Lauren out of the building as quick as I could. I didn't want her to be uncomfortable more than she already had to. The cool breeze hit my face once we walked out of the building and I stopped Lauren before she walked into the ice cream parlor right next door. She turned to me in confusion as she fiddled with her hands. "Di-Did I do s-something w-wrong?"
